(drew this myself btw)

It was dark the only light came from the silver crescent moon that shone brightly in the night's sky. To look upon this beauty of a rock, it's true luck. For there are those who cannot see, and those who take it for granted. Those who can and appreciate are in near extinction, this world has come to the point where nature is rare and technology is common.
It was about, midnight, the two love birds walked between the forest and the city. They had just come back from a restraunt and decided to venture the nature side of the town, And that they did. They looked upon the stars with awe and layed their warm bodies together on the wet cold grassy ground. They spend quite awhile there, the two of them and the moon. They named the star's constellations and spoted the nearby planets and saw the galaxy, just nearly before they fell asleep they decided to head home. For every great adventure must come to an end. They now walked along the streets, and the sudden street lights nearly blinding them. They decide to go through the alley ways to avoid the rest of the zombies on their technology and devices. Besides they weren't social anyways. The man and woman held hands as they walked. Just about a ten minute walk towards their house they heard some racket around the corner of an alley way.
"Most likely a raccoon or possum." The man said.
"Let's go see, maybe we could feed it." the woman responded.
"It might have rabies or be vicious! We should go home, where it's safe" the man with all his heart attempting to change her mind, out of fear she would get hurt. The woman looked him deep in his eyes and begged him to see.
"Come on, love, maybe we can save it, maybe. And even if it's viscous, you'll protect me, right?"
And with that statement he finally agreed.
"Oh fine, under one condition, your staying behind me!"
"Agreed."she responded with glee.
They walked around the corner of the alley not to find a vicious beast or hungry animal, oh no, what they found shocked them as if they where in a story or dream, not reality. But it was as real as him and her and that was to be accepted.
"Oh my goodness... Sebastian, is this real? This poor child!"the woman turned to the man with disbelief on her face. He picked it up and turned around on the verge of tears. It was a female child at around 5 years of age, the man, Sebastian, held her tight to his chest and said to the woman
"Who would do something this dreadful as to leave this innocent child out here in the cold night air?"
"I don't know... Let's take call the police, Or should we call the orphanage?"
"An orphanage? No let's care for her, give her a warm night rest, if she doesn't wake up tomorrow, we'll bring her to the doctor." He said kindly, smiling to the woman and he took her hand and let her hold the child.
" yeah, she is still breathing She only seems to be uncausious and calling the police is too much trouble. I hope we are doing the right thing."
"Who knows, maybe" the woman sighs and looks up at him, holding the child.
"Let's go home." She grabs his hand with her free arm and begins walking, with him by her side, walking along the street lights, no longer in the alley way.
"Looking back on it now, there seemed to have been allot of destruction near by she layed even though she has not a scratch on her... I can't help but wonder what happened." Sebastian said, almost fully talking to himself. but loud enough to be heard by his lover.
"True." She replies and looks back, at where they'd just come from. That night they put the child laying in their bed as they watched over her until they fell asleep.
The next morning they where found past out on the ground, last night was extremely exhausting. The child woke up before them that morning with much confusion on her face."Huh?.... Where... Where am I?"
The child looked down at the man and woman and felt a slight bit of fear cross Her confused mind , she woke them up slowly and carefully.
"H-hello?..."
The woman woke up by this, slightly confused at first until finally remembering what was happening, she shook the man awake roughly.
"Love, the child is awake!"
The child looked upon the couple and asked many questions.
"Who are you? Why am I here, where am I?" The woman tried to calm her as best as she could, but the child began to cry.
"Who am I?"
The woman looked up at the child sitting on the bed, as they where on the floor. The man, half asleep, stood up.
" Calm down young one your safe." He heard a few loud roaring growls of the stomachs from everyone.
"I suppose I'll prepare a nice breakfast to calm the mood."
He said as he left the room. The woman nodded and looked back at the child.
"Don't worry, your safe, at my home... My name is Sally, nice to meet you."she said, reaching her hand out to the child for a hand shake.
"H-hi... I'm... Honoka, i think um I don't remember anything but that... I'm sorry." Honoka began to panic at this realization and her eyes began flooding with tears again. The woman, Sally, reached over to Honoka as to comfort her with a hug.
"Shshh it's ok, don't fright, everything is ok. I'm sure it will come back to you eventually."
"T-Thank you.. Um, Sally. But..Where did I come from?"
"We Don't know, we found you in an alley way." Sally said, her head looking down in pity. The child smiled to try and make Sally feel better and Sally gave her a hug.
Shortly after Sebastian came back into the room.
"Breakfast is made, would you like me to bring it to you or would you like to come downstairs?" He asked them kindly, smiling as to comfort them.
" I wouldn't mind the kitchen.." Honoka said stuttering, a little shy and she looking at Sebastian.
"Alright that's settled then, we are going to the kitchen." Sally said happily, beginning to stand up. They all began walking down stairs to the kitchen and you could smell the delightful breakfast that Sebastian has prepared.
" Oh wow that smells quite lovely, sir. Thank you very very much I was quite hungry."
Honoka said happily with a big smile on her face. Sally smiled and watched as Sebastian served the table.
"Sebastian, May i have a word with you after this meal?" Sally hinted towards the bedroom.
"Of course my dear." After serving honoka, who in fact was too busy eating away at the delightful food that has been placed in front of her. Sebastian followed Sally into the bedroom.
"What's wrong dear?" He questioned while beginning to take a seat on the bed next to her.
"What shall we do? Honoka seems very intelligent and proper for such a young child. And she seemed to have no memory as to where she came from."
" True," he responded "maybe she was just brought up well?"
" Yes but then why would we have found her in the alleyways? If a child so young and so well behaved why would someone leave her?" Sally's face became puzzled and sad.
"I don't know dear, and since she doesn't either we will have to just hope for the best and we should find out what happened. I want her to be happy." He then hugged her tight and kissed her cheek.
" Alright let's go back then shall we? I'll call the police to get everything styles and if she doesn't have a home we should foster her."
"Yeah." She replied and, satisfied, they returned downstairs toward the kitchen. Sebastian took a seat next to Sally in front of Honoka. They all began eating.
"Honoka, May i ask you a question?" He put his fork to the side and looked at her.
"Yes you may." She replied respectfully, looking up at the man and wiping her mouth.
"Do you trust us?" He asked. Sally looked at Sebastian but continued eating .
"Even though I've just met you, yes, because I feel you saved me." She smiled and looked at the food, then back at him.
"Well.." Sebastian paused and took a breath. "Would you like to live with us?" He said, looking at Sally and back at her. Sally nodded as to agree with him and continued eating. Honoka looked up and smiled.
"I'd love to." She closed her eyes, smiling and teared up a bit. Sebastian smiled back and continued eating. Honoka did as well. After breakfast Sally and Honoka went back upstairs to their bedroom and Sebastian called the police.
