[Author's Note: I planned to do this next week but..ehhhh]
I keep on getting these calls from random phone numbers. These calls consist of nothing but background noises, no voices or anything. The first call I got two days ago was from a metro station, a train roaring in the background, and then a feminine voice announced something over the Intercom. I didn't think much of it, although I admit I thought of it a little strange, but I thought it was just a guy that contacted the wrong number and thought it was too awkward to respond. But, if that was the case why was it so long for him to end the call? The next call was from yesterday. This time, I heard voices in the background. It took me a while to figure out that they were advertising products, meat, vegetables, how fresh they were, how delicious they were. It was from a local market. Although this day there were no calls, except for when the sun set. At 6PM, I received a call from a number I didn't recognize. My heartbeat picked up in my ear, these calls happened only during the day. I hesitated for a bit before picking it up. My fingers felt like they held ice as I picked up my phone. I answered it. Silence. Just, silence. I prayed to every god under the sun that someone would speak. But, just silence. I quickly turned it off. 30 minutes later, although it seemed like forever, another call came in. At the same time my dad entered the house as I heard the front door open. I wanted to run to him, to tell him what the hell was going on. But, I knew he wouldn't believe me. He didn't believe in superstition. I answered the call, taking in some relief that my dad was nearby. Silence. Same silence. At this point, I freaked out, opened the door and shouted "DAD!". And then I heard a voice in the background of the call. My heart froze, it was MY voice. Whoever made that call, was in my house now.
