Chapter II

The red head let out a sigh as he walked to get out of their building while rubbing the nape of his neck with his right hands, annoyed.

"I'm pissed." He thought. "That Maehara. No one plays those kind of tricks to Nagisa other than me." He gritted his teeth.

Or so he thought.

The red head, up until now, was always in denial of his true reasons why he was over protective over the bluenette that results to not realizing his true feelings for his friend....or maybe there's really nothing special. Could it?

"Karma!" A familiar voice called out that made the red head stopped and looked back.

"Hmm?" Karma said in his usual timid tone.

"You should not skip the class."

The red head smirked, "Said the one who's skipping with me right now." He turned again and continued to walk, "Let's go grab some drinks."

It signalled the bluenette to run to Karma and walked beside him.

They went their way down the mountain to get their drinks to the vending machine with awkward silence, not knowing who should start a conversation.

The bluenette, however, was worried about his friend's actions.

"K-Karma? Are you okay?" The bluenette decided to broke their silence. "You're unusually quiet."

The red head looked at the bluenette in his usual cold look but his eyes widened in surprised by seeing the worried face of his friend at him.

He immediately composed himself to hide his surprised reaction and decided to cheer his friend up through teasing.

"Hmm?~ What's that, Nagisa? You looked like you're about to cry." Karma said in his teasing tone while poking his friend's cheeks.

Nagisa pouted and swatted the red head's hand, "Forget about it!"

The red head laughed loud about the bluenette's reaction, happy that his friend is worried about him.

"S-Stop it, Karma!"

The red head continued to tease Nagisa and started a whole lot of conversations until they went their way back to their classroom.

"Karma-kun! Nagisa-kun! Where have you been?!" Their yellow octopus-like teacher exclaimed, seeing the red head and the bluenette entered their classroom.

"We started practicing our role as Romeo and Juliet." The red head said in a timid tone while walking to his seat.

"Hehe. Sorry Koro-sensei." Nagisa said in a low tone and smiling nervously and not even bothering to correct the red head's statement.

The light brown-haired guy turned from his seat, "What happened, Nagisa?" Curious about the red head's actions earlier and looked at Karma who is already glaring at them.

The light brown-haired guy smiled nervously but a mischievous thought came up to him.

The red head saw the light brown-haired guy held the bluenette's shoulder and leaned towards him as if he's gonna kiss him on the cheeks...in his own perspective. Which made him more annoyed and rushed to the bluenette's side.

"Ahh!" The bluenette exclaimed.

The red head pulled the arms of the bluenette to distance him with the light brown-haired guy.

"What were you doing, Maehara?" Karma tried to keep his voice down to avoid unnecessary attention but anyone who could hear him would know that he is really pissed.

"I...was just going to whisper something to Nagisa." The light brown-haired guy defended.

The red head gave a death glare to Maehara giving him a meaning to back off.

Maehara knew that right now and then, he should not get close nor lay his hands to the bluenette....in a different way.

He removed his hands to Nagisa's shoulder, "Later, Nagisa." and turned back to face their teacher.

"What is it Karma? You're holding my arms too tight." The bluenette said in a worried tone not understanding what just happened.

"Sorry." The red head removed his hands to the arms of the bluenette and walked back to his seat.

"Karma-kun? Nagisa-kun?" Koro-sensei called their attention and looked at him, "The class has decided that everyone would be cross-dressing on the festival so that Nagisa-kun won't feel bad about it. Except for you Karma-kun, who will be playing Romeo."

The bluenette sighed feeling relieved.

"At least I'm not the only one to do it." He thought.

"But that doesn't change the fact that you would be our representative nor the lead girl." Their yellow octopus-like teacher clarified.

"I think its not fair Koro-sensei. The lead girl should be different if I would be the representative for the cross dressing competition." Nagisa defended himself.

"What's that Nagisa? You're really into cross dressing arent you?" Teased by the red head who's feet is now on top of his desk.

"That's not it!"

One of Koro-sensei's tentacle patted the bluenette on his head, "Nyurufufu. I understand. However, Nagisa-kun, you, being the lead is a perfect strategy."

"Oohh~" The whole class responded.

"I get it now Koro-sensei!" The green haired girl raised her hand. "It's perfect marketing before the cross-dressing competetion."

"Nyurufufu. Right, Kayano-Chan." Koro-sensei wiggled his tentacles happily.

Nagisa now understands why he needs to play the lead role. And sighed as sign of surrendering "It can't be help, huh?"

"Nyurufufu. Also, Karma-kun and Nagisa-kun, you're in charge of the cleaning today for skipping my class."

The bluenette and the red head complained but their teacher ignored and made fun of them instead. "That's what you get for skipping my class."

After finishing cleaning their classroom, the bluenette and the red head fixed their bags, getting ready to went home.

"Nagisa, wanna come over to my house? We could practice and prepare for the play." Asked by the red head casually while walking towards the bluenette who's still fixing his bag.

The bluenette was surprised by his friend's invitation. But he remembered that they only got two weeks to prepare.

"Sure. We just have little time to prepare." He answered while putting his bag on his shoulder and started walking, "Let's go to my house first. Help me packed my things..." He grinned, "and carry it too, Karma."

"What? I'm not your servant, Nagisa."

"Right." The bluenette laughed at the red head. "But you're my Romeo."

The red head felt his cheeks grew hot hearing the bluenette's statement, "Why did I agree to this?" He said sounding pissed but was not annoyed at all.

The bluenette laughed harder upon hearing his friend's reaction thinking that it's his turn to tease the red head.
