Dan's mind was going to every possibility. His heart was racing. He was sweating, he wanted to say something but he was afraid he wouldn't be convincing enough.

"Dan?" Phil said, his ice blue eyes looking worrisome. 

"Phil, don't be insane, if it was me I would've told you, obviously." Dan said, being as confident as he could possibly manage in this situation.

"Oh well, I guess one of our other friends likes me then?" Phil said, looking confused, " But who?"

"Phil, I can honestly tell you, I have no idea" Dan said, trying to be as convincing as possible, he knew exactly who it is.
