"Good morning, Claire" Kate said rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning. Come sit" I said pulling a chair of the dinning table.
"Could I have a coffee?" she said in a sleepy voice, laying her head on her right hand.
"Yeah sure"
Then I went to the kitchen to make coffee for her. I could hear her yawning, definitely she must have slept late.
"Here you go" I said sitting on the opposite side of the dinning table while giving the glass of coffee to her.
"Thanks. And is this..."
I cut her off and said "Low fat? Yeah it is".
"So did you sleep late last night?" I asked her.
"Yeah, actually I had to complete an assignment" she said sipping her coffee.
"Hmm...yesterday Ruby came up to my door to tell me that the rent of the apartment have increased"
Ruby is our 50 year old landlord. Kate and me stay together in a big apartment or you can say a connecting apartment. There is only one door which separates us.
"Yeah?" She was pretty shocked.
"Yup.What should we do now?"
"There are two options or should I say three. First, search for another apartment. Second, go back to our respective homes. Lastly, search for a roommate or roommates"
"If we consider the first and second option we will have to leave this apartment and we both know that how much this apartment means to us" I sighed.
This apartment was bought on our first ever earned concert money, and hence it meant a lot to us.
"Your right. So that means we have no choice but to have roommates" she sighed.
We never actually thought of living with someone else besides us. But she was right we have no choice but to have roommates.
"Yup, We have no choice"
"So get ready, time to search for our roommates" she said smirking.
