OK I'm not going to deny my elusive romance with sleep,we were in love
And to think they had an actual cuckoo clock at the institute. What was this,the 21st century?
I woke up to the loud cuckooing of the cuckoo clock with my hands covering my ears"Ahhhh! What the hell is that!" I screamed
"Morning alarm, pretty impressive right?" Cyrex answered
"Don't you mean annoying, loud and outdated"
These people have no respect for sleep,I guess they didn't know about sorcery 101 and how the older students kept us up all night.
"All students please get dressed and get to the cafeteria....All students please get dressed and get to the cafeteria"A monotone voice on the P.A system kept repeating
"Well I guess we should get dressed and get to the cafeteria" Cyrex repeated
I slowly and I mean very slowly got out of bed grabbed a cold shower,I heard those really woke you up..... I heard wrong.
"Fuck" someone had taken my clothes,some kind of stupid prank..oh my underwear was still here...yipee
So I had to make my way down the hall in only my underwear,okay pretty simple right what could go wrong.
I walked as fast as I could,luckily everyone had already left ..almost there
I opened my door to see the girl from last night that brought the hat with the names in them, her shiny brown hair sitting on my bed
She looked up at me with furrowed eye brows and my cheeks turned red so I made my way for my clothes"Redish wants to talk with you "she said while I was searching for fresh clothes. Oh no the kid from last night
"Do you mind" I muttered turning around to look at her
"What do you mean" she retorted
"I mean this is my room,I'm not meant to be the one flustered and you're not meant to be in here" I spoke surprising even myself with a newly found confidence.
Just then I noticed her bright green eyes roam around my half naked body... OK this was certainty one of those awkward moments
"Well" I shouted and pointed at the door
She was thrown back into reality,she frowned and walked out
What the hell was that,wait is this what puberty feels like,I took a moment...okay several to flex my so far unnoticed muscles in the mirror.
At this point I was feeling very much unstoppable until I remembered Redish
I walked into the cafeteria and I saw a hand signal to me from the corner of the cafeteria
There was Redish, the awkward moment girl... Yes that's what I'm calling her,and the rest of their squad
"I guess this is where the cool kids hang out "and by that I meant his lackeys
"Walk with me" Redish stood and gestured to follow him,I swear awkward moment girl glared at me.... Crazyyy
We walked out to the courtyard"I'm only going to say this once" he began
"When you're asked to be part of the infinity. You will decline, understand?"
"What is the infinity" I retorted with air quotes
"That is a need to know and you don't need to" He said calmly
"I think I might just be part of the infinity if I don't know what it is"
He snapped his fingers and out of nowhere two guys,who I assumed where his lackeys grabbed my shoulders
"Boys,boys there's no need to resort to violence, what are we animals? I will decline any infinity shit offer accepting crap" I mumbled I wasn't your typical nerd I knew how to avoid bullies
"Good" he extended his hand to shake mine, I looked at his hand then at him, turned around and walked back into the cafeteria
"You're already hanging with Redish Olso, you work fast" Retta spoke from behind me
"After what he pulled last night, it shouldn't be a suprise " Cyrex piped up
I turned around to see them grinning,we sat together at a table
"I see you've met Cyrex, you guys will get along just great, considering you're both nuts"
They both gasped " how dare you" Retta spat
"Meh" I shrugged
"Nai about yesterday, how did you do that,you are the second person to ever pass sorcery 101" Retta asked
"I don't know I just tapped into the magic within me and concentrated really hard on what i wanted, wow that sounded like a load of crap. I don't know Retta I have no idea how I did that, who was the first anyway.
"Redish" Cyrex replied
"How do you know Redish anyway" I narrowed my eyes at Retta
"He's all the girls in my dorm talk about" I think I saw her blush
"And besides he's the top student here he's scaled through all his classes" Cyrex joined in
"No shit, he seems nice who's the brunette with him"
"Second best, she thought by hanging around him it'll make her better,she thought wrong" Cyrex replied
'All first year student please proceed to class' The P.A system went off again
Retta pulled out a sheet of our class schedule"Alchemy with uhhm Dr seventyn, is that his actual name?"
"Class, someone shoot me" I whined
"And I heard this guy is very intense"
We finally found his class and walked in I took the seat behind Retta and Cyrex
A man about 40, rough beard, trench coat walked in.
He stared at every single one of us for a minute in silence"Are you ready to take this journey? if you aren't get out now" he finally spoke out
We all exchanged looks
"Very well, I am Amday Seventyn, let's begin"
