She's screaming again me again, but is time, it's all a blur. Then her hairdryer hits me and I realize that I've had "ENOUGH!" I yell. My head throbs where the hairdryer hit me. "I'm sick and tired of this-"
"Oh my god! Felix! You are so Inconsiderate! You forgot about my birthday! Again! You don't care-"
"Says the person who hit me with a hairdryer and dragged me prom shopping on my birthday!"
"It was right before prom!
"You know WE'RE DONE!" I regret those words the moment I say them, but I can't take them back now. April's expression softens.
"What?"
"We're done." I repeat. I can't believe I'm saying this. "I can't do this anymore."
"Do what anymore? I-"
"You know what I'm talking about. Our entire relationship revolves around..." I don't know what to say. April runs her fingers through her snow blond hair. "Revolves around what, Felix?" Her blue eyes look stone hard, but fragile, like glass. "It doesn't revolve around feelings. I revolves around what's on the outside."
"And what's on the outside isn't good? It doesn't count? Look, Felix, I don't want to wake up everyday next to someone who looks like the personification of ugly." I consider that for a moment before responding. "Personification of ugly, huh? I'm sorry. I loved you, April. Before I knew the real you." I see tears stream down her cheeks. I've always thought when she cries, it's her snow hair melting. "I'm sorry you got to know the real me, Felix. I'm so sorry." She spits out my name like it tastes bad in her mouth. Like I'm old gum, now stale. "I'm sorry too." And with that I walk out of her house. Out of the reality I've known for months. Good and bad. Saturday mornings I've spent here. Friday nights. All gone. Her laugh rings in my head. Her kisses feel fresh on my lips. I can never have that anymore. Never again. I run away from her house. When I came here, she said she wanted to talk. I never knew I wouldn't have April anymore when I was walking here. My April is gone.
