"Alright Ben, but just this one time." Benedict jumped in excitement as he was handed his Cloak of Levitation. "Bring it back next time you come on set," Scott scolded. "I will," Ben replied through his smile. Walking off set he whispered to himself, "Kit is going to love this."
It began to furiously pour as Ben drove home to his pregnant wife and boy. Ben carefully drove through the slippery streets, attentively listening to the weather forecast on the radio. "For people out there in this ferocious weather, please be careful. Meteorologists say this weather has come out of nowhere. They presume the upcoming lunar eclipse might have something to do with it. They recommend for everyone to stop driving and go inside a safe place."
Ben didn't finish listening to the forecast, thankfully he was parking in front of his home. He put on his own jacket and grabbed a plastic bag where his Doctor Strange cloak was neatly placed. Ben ran to the front door, avoiding to get soaked in the continuous rain. He was welcomed by his beautiful wife and the joyful laughs of his son coming from the living room. He followed the angelic sounds his family was making.
Kit saw Ben first and exclaimed with pure joy, "Daddy!" Ben chuckled making his chest rumble, "Hey there champ," Ben was engulfed with hugs and kisses coming from his son, he returned the affection. "Having fun with mummy?" Ben approached Sophie and gave her a passionate kiss while Kit nodded his head. "I have a surprise for you. I'll be back in a few minutes." Kits eyes widened with ecstasy when Ben mention a surprise. Sophie already knew what the surprise was; she waited with Kit while Ben put on the Cloak of Levitation.
During the next hour, the Cumberbatchs' residence was filled with nothing but laughs from all the family members. Kit fell asleep in the arms of Doctor Strange. Sitting silently, listening to the rain droplets hit against the window and the fire crackle from the fireplace, Ben and Sophie looked upon their grand creation of love. "How did you manage to get the cloak?" Sophie asked, breaking the silence.
"With a cluster amount of promises," Ben chuckled. Sophie giggled along, "You now have part of the Doctor Strange and Sherlock wardrobe in the closet." Ben sucked in air through his teeth, "I'll return the coat sooner or later." They both laughed, "Lets hope the coat and cloak don't fight at night," Ben playfully commented.
A few hours later, the tremendous storm was still booming and roaring. Enormous, heavy clouds blocked the moon. Everyone was asleep although the thunder never stopped it's thumping. The spooky clouds started to part allowing the shine of the lunar eclipse to shine on the Cumberbatch's home. *BOOM* *CRACK* *POW* One last lighting cracked and the rain stopped pouring in that instant.
There came some rustling from Ben's walk in closet. The door knob slowly turned opening the wooden frame revealing..the Cloak of Levitation!? The red heavy curtain was floating on it's own. What did the lunar eclipse do?! There came another rustle from the closet making the warrior cloak turn around and float..in defense position.
Sherlocks coat came off a hanger. Wobbly, but beginning to get used to this new feature, the coat started floating. The cloak had lost its tension, memorized by the other coat. The coat looked at the cloak, amazed how fast it got accustomed to the new floating feature. They both approached each other. Swirling on another, looking at each other's fabric and material. Did one like the other?
They were both startled by a light, they panicked and fell to the floor. Ben's feet could be seen walking to the bathroom. Just like two excited puppies, coat and cloak began to move in excitement seeing their owner. Ben, more asleep than awake, turned around to see the walk in closet open. He saw the coat and cloak moving but convinced himself he was just hallucinating and went back to sleep.
The Cloak of Levitation quickly sprang up and went to hover above Ben, Sherlock's Coat followed the cloak. They both floated peacefully side by side, admiring their owner sleep. The coat and cloak turned to each other and their collars moved in a nodding way. Even though coat was competitive as Sherlock, he knew that Ben appreciated the cloak as much as it and decided not to become enemies with the cloak; the cloak felt exactly the same way as the coat.
Sherlock's Coat made his way to the bedroom door, it placed its end of the sleeve on its pocket and slowly turned the knob, not wanting to wake up his owner. The Cloak of Levitation followed swiftly behind the coat embracing one of its end on the sleeve. They both exited the room, knowing they would have a lovely future together. ❤️
