I walk back upstairs. Jamie is awake, playing his violin. He is a good violin player, I always enjoyed listening to him. I am pretty sure he doesn't even know I'm leaving for Summer Camp. Tomorrow. Jamie turns around.
"For how long have you been there?" He asks me, still holding his violin.
Oh shoot. That probably looks weird, right? "N-not much." I smile. "Did you eat?" He nods. "Okay then. You can continue." I say walking towards my room. I really should start packing. It's getting pretty late, because I stayed with my mom before, chatting and watching some TV.
I pack my clothes and all that and that takes about two hours. "Andrea, Jamie! Come downstairs, please!" My mom calls us from the living room. I place my luggage by my bed. And head downstairs. Jamie is already there. My mom gets up from the sofa and walks to the kitchen. "I think you should get some dinner." We both nod and make dinner.
We all sit at the table. "So, Andrea, why are you leaving?" My brother asks me playing with his food. I look at my mother with confusion, she looks back.
"H-how do you know?" I ask back.
"Stop answering with questions!" he says, raising his hands in the air. "And, I know everything." He winks.
Oookay. I'll take that."W-well, this summer-" my mom cuts me off.
"Your sister is going to a Summer Camp." She smiles.
"For how long?" Um. Why is Jamie bear asking so many questions in the first place?
"The entire summer." She smiles again. "Actually, she's leaving tomorrow." She says nodding. My face is probably in the what-the-heck-nobody-told-me-about-that(?!) look.
"Excuse me? The entire summer?" I ask picking up my plate and washing it in the sink. I'm going to live the 3-month-long torture. My mom nods.
She's looking at her watch. "O-oh." She looks back at me. "Andrea, you better go to your bed. You'll have to wake up at 4:30 tomorrow morning!"
"Uuuuugh! 4:30? Oh. My. Dear. God!" I say looking up the ceiling. "Okay, fine!" I walk closer to Jamie hugging him super tight, telling him that I love him and I will miss him. "Goodnight, people!" I continue, walking back to my room.
I didn't change my clothes at all today, so I just go under the covers, adding a new alarm that will ring at 4:30 next morning. I close all the lights in my room and yawn. I didn't even know I was that sleepy, until now. Suddenly, I fall asleep.
****The awful sound of my alarm rings in my ears. I open my eyes, its still very dark outside. I slowly get up and rub my eyes. I decide to stretch my back and wear a pair of jeans and a plain gray T-shirt.
My mom walks in my room. "Oh, you're awake." She yawns. "Good morning. Let's go get some breakfast, shall we?" I nod.
For breakfast, we're having some pancakes with sweet syrup. "I should get going." i say eating my last piece of pancakes. I am about to go wash my plate but my mom stops me.
"I'll wash it later. Go get your stuff and I'll give you the address of the camp. Okay?"
I smile. "Okay!" I head to my room. I pull my luggage out of the room. I go give Jamie one last kiss on his cheek before I leave.
I am now downstairs. My mom gives me two pieces of paper. One of them probably has the camp's address written on it, but i don't know what the other paper is. Aaanyway. She gives me my car keys and my phone, that she found at the table before.
"Thanks mom." I hug her placing a kiss on her cheek.
"No problem, sweetie. I love you."
"I love you too, mom." We say goodbye to each other and i leave the house.
