"But mom!" I yelled, trying to change my father and mother's mind. "I don't want to go to school!"
My mother sighed, "Love, it would be better if you go to school. Meet new friends, get a boyfriend."
I was almost in tears. They were sending me away to a stupid school. Sure, I was bad, but you don't do that do your own daughter...right?
"Evelyn, don't cry." She reached out and wiped below my eyes with her thumb. "I'm afraid I don't want to do this, but your father is sure you have to go there."
"Why?" I croaked.
"He wants you too be happy." She said.
"But I won't be happy there! I want the stay here!" I yelled in her face.
She sighed, "I don't want to yell at you, but you need to go to school. Now, pack your bags please."
"But mom." I whispered, tears rushing down my face.
"Belle!" My father called, coming up the stairs, "Can you help with Dutch?"
Dutch, my horse, was neighing outside my bedroom window.
My mother, Belle, nodded, "Yes, dear. Evelyn, please, start packing."
Just like that, my mother walked out my door to get Dutch ready.
I face planted on my bed, crying. I don't want to go to school. They're just abandoning me to stay with people I don't know. Finally, I wiped my eyes and started packing. I grabbed all my clothes, folded them nicely and placed them in my suitcase. I also grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste, brush, deodorant, soap, shampoo and conditioner. This school, it was like a collage. You lived there. After I was done packing, I walked to my computer in the corner of my blue bedroom. I sat down on the chair and typed the school name. I needed some info.
"Happily-Ever-After-School." I said aloud typing it in.
I almost gagged, it was all pink and fairy tale like. It showed a picture of an old woman dressed in a blue gown. Probably the headmistress. Some pictures of dorms, they were all wooden, thank god. But one caught my attention. It was wooden like the rest, but it was more ragged, like it was meant for a certain type of fairytale person. I decided to print it out, just so I could ask them to get that room.
"Evelyn!" Father called, "are you done packing?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yes dad."
"Dutch is ready, finish what your doing and come down, okay?"
"Yep!" I grabbed the picture, folded it, and put it in my suitcase. "Crap." I muttered. I don't have enough room for my books. I grabbed my pouch and grabbed my favourite books. I have many, but four books I always read. I slug my pouch over my shoulder and pulled the handle out of my suitcase. I turned around to see my bedroom. I wouldn't see this for a while. I sighed, walking out to the hallway of the castle. I walked down the big grand stairs and reached the bottom. My mom and dad were waiting there. My mom seemed like she was crying, I don't know why. She was the one sending me here, well actually my dad is, but whatever.
My mother reached out her arms for a hug. I raced to her and gave her a big hug, we held for about three minutes or so. After I pulled away, she kissed my forehead. My father also gave me a hug, a huge bear hug. I sniffed, "I love you guys. I'll miss you."
My mother nodded, absolutely trying not to cry.
"We will miss you too, we love you very much." My father smiled.
I picked up suitcase back up and walked out of the castle. Dutch, my horse was waiting for me, behind Dutch was a small golden carriage. I climbed in, and set my bags down on the floor. I looked out the window at the castle, the hill side, and my family. I guess, I'll be making a new family soon. Dutch trotted off, with my rider riding him. I pulled out one of my books, and opened the page. I sighed, wondering what my life has become.
