First Day

"Well it's nice to meet you all!" They all smiled back at me and I felt a sudden rush of liking towards them all. Though when I looked over at Tinkerbell, she had turned away again. I chose to ignore it and I sat down in-between Fawn and Silvermist.

"I really love your dress, which thread is it?" asked Iridessa.

"What'd you mean?" I tried to remember any mention of threads between the dressmaker fairies, but there's nothing.

"Thread, you know, which group of dressmaker fairies, they've all got their own styles."

"Oh, I have no idea, they didn't say much about themselves." I shrugged and looked down at the glittery, golden dress. It really was beautiful. Rosetta looked at it too, as if she was analysing it, "I think it looks like Rendall's, there's pixie dust all over, that's like her trademark. I can't remember what her thread's called... umm... oh yeah! Fucci! Apparently the name's somethin' to do with a thread on the mainland... sounds a bit weird though."

"Oh I love Fucci!" Exclaimed Silvermist, and Fawn and Iridessa nodded quickly. Everyone cast a side glance at Tinkerbell, who had remained quiet and hadn't looked at anyone or even smiled for the entire time Annabell had been here. Tinkerbell, noticing this, suddenly rose from her slumped position over the table and plastered a very fake looking smile on her face. "I agree, your dress is just wonderful." Everyone else seemed pleased with this response, but I felt like there was something odd about Tinkerbell. There was a false tone of politeness in her voice, the smile didn't reach her eyes, and when the other fairies turned their attention away from her, Tinkerbell sent me a look to kill.

After leaving the tearoom the fairies took me around to see all of Spring Region. The ancient maple trees, the birds nests, rabbits burrows, where the river cut through it, the mini waterfall and lake, and where the other talent fairies lived. It was all so magnificent, and eventually we went back to the Home Tree. Instead of going to the top, like she did before, I was taken to stand at the roots. From this point I was shown where the doors to the Pixie Hollow tea room and restaurant was, the bubble bath spa, the medicine fairies' ward, and the Grand Entrance. From the Grand Entrance you could access the gallery, the Great Fairy Library, and a huge spirally staircase that went up the entire tree, going off into thousands and thousands of mysterious rooms. This was all a lot of information for me to take in, but I was fascinated all the same.

Rosetta led the way to the Pixie Hollow Restaurant, where we all tucked in to a huge meal of fruit, pollen juice and golden sponge cake. At the end we all went back to our homes, Fawn and I went back to our oak tree, Iridessa went back to hers, Silvermist went back to the waterfall, Rosetta went back to the flowers bed, and Tinkerbell went back to the Tinker Village.

Back in my amazing room, I changed into the extremely soft nightie and climbed into the petals of my bed, and fell asleep.

The next morning I found herself being woken up from my blissful dreaming by a series of loud bangings and clangings. "Annabeeeelll, wake uuuuuuup!!" I yawned, stretched and tried to wipe the sleep out of my eyes. As soon as I opened the door, Fawn came flying in, bouncing all over the room, filled with excitement. "It's your first day! I've got so much to teach you, oh I should have shown the tunnels and animals and told you about it all yesterday! Well you'll catch on quickly, new fairies always do. But you're working with me! It'll be so fun!!!" I just nodded a bit and did a big yawn. "Well what are you standing around for? Even though it's Summer we've still got lots to do, hurry up! I'll wait for you outside."
