Ryder's POV
I saw the way Johnny looked last night after we left the fair. He seemed different again, the same different like the morning we went to the drag race and he said it was because of the wheather. But I don't really believe that now. I know something's wrong with him, I know it. I really do and I am going to get to the bottom of this.
I got dressed in my jean shorts, my skater shoes, my hate and my t-shirt. I put some make up on to cover up the cuts and bruises on my face. Before I left my house, I went to the mailbox outside my yard and checked the mail. I've been in a little bit of contact with my parents lately. They seem a little nicer, I don't know pysically, but in their letters they write rather nice. I brought the letters into my house and set them on the counter.
I left down the street running with my board and then dropping it as I skated some more. I listened to the music from the little music player I got awhile back. I didn't bother to put head phones on because why not let everyone listen to my lovely music.
When I got to the Curtis. I had second thoughts. What the hell happened here? I walked in and the house was a mess and I knew what had happened. Beer. They drank, they've all been drinking last night. Two-bit was behind the couch pressed up against the wall. Dally was half on half off the couch. Pony and Johnny were sprawled out at the dinning room table. Soda was on the coffee table in the living room and Steve was at Darry's chair, newspapers all over him and what not.
I got pulled into the kitchen from someone strong and knew it only as Darry. Him and I looked at each other and he didn't seem so pleased. Great, am I gonna be in trouble? I thought.
"They were drinking and partying last night. Knowing how you good you are at being controling, could you make them clean up the whole place. And I don't want to see on piece trash laying around the yard." He said.
"You got it, sir" I said saluting him. He pushed me playfully into the wall and went to the fridge grabbing a coke and the he headed off for theday. I walked back into the living room, Dal was on the couch I wanted and since he was so knocked out. I pushed him off the couch and he landed in the floor with a thud sound. No one moved, only their chests indicating they weren't dead yet. I turned the tv on and watched jeopardy. I might've shouted a couple times while watching it.
I was really bored and I knew I couldn't leave the house because I have to make sure that 6 boys clean up this place, make sure they don't throw up or fool around and then I can leave later. I might go to the movies.
Y'all might be wondering the thing between Pony and I. He had asked me to be his girl last night before we got off the ride together. I said 'yes' and you should've seen how happy he was. The others called wolf calls as we all walked back. They dropped my off and that was how my night ended. I like Ponyboy and I think everything will be great in the future, well at least I hope so.
"Shit! My head hurts!" I heard from one of the boys. I got up and went looking around to see who it was. It was Soda, so I went to the kitchen and got a coke and some asprins for him. I walked back in and he wasn't walking straight, he had walking into a wall. So I grabbed a cup of water and poured it on his face so he'd wake up a little more refreshed.
"Here take this." I said and handed him two pills, then the coke.
"What are they?"
"Pills, Dummy! Now swallow them!" He did as told and I helped him up. I brought him to the kitchen and he sat down at the table looking at something.
"You love Ponyboy?" He asked. I did, I liked him but he said 'love'. I couldn't deny it, i did have that small crush and i was the one who made the move and kissed him. He kissed me back after, but I kissed him first.
