Cole X Kai

        This is before cole turns into a ghost

    "Gah, what is going on with me?" Said Cole, grabbing fistfuls of his hair. It had been the 3rd time this week that Kai made him feel uncomfortable. The hot head was somehow getting to Cole with his little quirks.

             He sat on his bed, looking at the ceiling above. The day was being replayed in his mind. He had gotten up, bumped into Kai. Brushed his teeth, bumped into Kai.  Ate some of Zane's breakfast, the only one with him was Kai. Trained, with Kai. It was as if Kai was everywhere Cole was.

              He growled, put his pillow on his head, and screamed.

              "Isn't the female supposed to that?" said a familiar voice. Who was it?

              Cole glanced to the side of the room, "Kai, aren't you supposed to knock?"

               He shrugged, smirking. Cole sat up, sighing, trying not to look at the hot head. He then felt two fingers under his chin, making him turn his head towards the red ninja.  Cole's dark brown eyes looked into the other's auburn eyes.

               Cole noticed the close proximity between him and Kai, and blushed. 'Wait? Why am I blushing? Do I...Like K-kai?!?' 

               Kai smirked, and walked away, his hands behind his head. He called out, "See ya at dinner..."

             Over the next few months, it seemed to Cole has if all Kai wanted to do was make him flustered. He would come up behind him and whisper in his ear when they were alone. He kept giving Cole side glances and Cole would look away.

             One day, him and the other's were playing on the video game console. It was MORTAL KOMBAT. Kai wanted to go against Cole. The other 3 agreed. Kai sat right next to Cole, kept whispering in his ear when the others weren't looking. Cole tried to concentrate but he couldn't. Soon enough Kai had won. When the hot head looked over at Cole, he saw he was a blushing mess. But he didn't see his eyes. His hair was covering them.

              The ninja of Earth got up, and stomped to his room.

                Kai felt his heart sink.

               Cole had glanced at Kai with his dark brown eyes, full of pain and tears. Shutting the door behind him, he sat at his desk. He felt the hot tears stream down his cheeks. He didn't know how long he sat there, but it shocked him when he felt a hand wipe away the tears.

                He looked up to see Kai, with a face full of regret. Kai sat on the desk, and sighed, "i...I didn't mean to make you cry..."

                Cole looked down, as Kai scoffed.

                "Every one thinks that I'm sort of idiot right? I know I'm a hot head but...this time I screwed up." Kai said. Cole tilted his head, indicating he was listening. " Do you know that I'm jealous of you guys?"

                "I'm really jealous of you Cole."

                He looked up at Kai, only to see him looking in the distance, lost in his own thoughts, " When my mom died,  Nya and I were extremely young. She was still a baby. My father was already weak from working in the black smith shop. He had this disease where it mimicked other ones like Parkinsons. He kept getting sick...so I had to raise Nya by myself. I wasn't close to him.

               "I felt like I had no one to help raise me..."

                 Cole stared at the man beside him. He saw tears form in Kai's auburn eyes. Cole had stood up to where he was at Kai's level, and kissed him on the cheek. The hot head blushed  and looked at Cole.

                 Cole looked at Kai, his eyes filled with emotion, as he softly smiled, "You have me."

                 Kai stared at him, then chuckled, "Wow, look at us. We are never like this."

                "I guess we bring the different parts of ourselves." Cole responded.

                The two boys stayed in Cole's room. They were starting over.

              On the other side of the door, Jay and Lloyd were grumbling as they both found a twenty and handed it to Zane.

               "I told you that this would happen." he said smirking.
