Stalked...By a Vampire!?

New town, new me

It was a sunny afternoon, a beautiful day. The blue sky only had a few clouds. It was one of those picture perfect days, the kind where you just can't stay inside. A day like this, one where you think nothing can go wrong, but it was on this perfect day my whole world started to spirl out of control.

I was walking through the park by my new house, we move so often now. I barely stay in the same town for a couple of months. I needed time to think about why this always happened. My train of though was interrupted by someone calling my name.

I turned to see a rather handsome boy running towards me. "Hey, Aquamarine! Wait up" he called. He was  panting when he finally came up to me. He looked at he when  cought his breath, He was about a head taller than me, he was wearing a short sleeved blackish grayish over shirt with an orange t-shirt under it. He was wearing blue cargo pants and sneakers. He had brown hair that fell in his chocolate brown eyes.

"Hey...Aquamarine..." he said breathlessly.

I smiled, "hey...you." I had no idea who this guy was. Though I kinda wanted to, he seemed nice enough.

"Oh, yeah. This must be weird, some guy running up behind you. I'm Josh" he esended his hand. "I'm in you History class."

I shook his hand, "right, well its nice to meet you again. And you can call me Aqua."

"Okay cool, how do you like our special little town" he gestured to everything around us.

I giggled, "it's nice." He smiled, revealing sparkling white teeth. He was about to say more when another guy calls his name.

"Yo Josh, I've been looking everywhere" he ran up to us. Then he looked at me, a wicked grin spread across his face. "Oh, come on Josh. You're already hitting on the new girl, give someone else a chance." I looked at Josh, he was just scolding at this guy.

He was slightly shorter than Josh and was wearing a dog tag for a necklace. He was wearing a orange t-shirt and an over coat thing. His hair was lighter than Josh's and it fell into his chestnut eyes.

"Um, hi. I'm Aqua and you are...." I left the sentence hanging.

He looked a little offended, "you mean Josh hasn't told you all about me. I'm Mike" he leaned in to whisper something in my ear. But it was loud enough for Josh to hear. "I can see why my friend wants you to himself."

I giggled and Josh tried to push me along. "Well, it was good to see you Mike" he said trying to get us away from Mike. "But we really have to get going."

Mike grabbed my hand and pulled back towards him. "What's the rush" he asked, a teasing grin on his face. "Hey Aqua, there's a party tonight. Wanna come?"

I was a little surprised, no one really invites me to parties. Then again I don't really talk to people. "Uh, sure. Sounds cool."

He beamed and looked at his watch. "Oh, shoot! Well I gotta go, I'll pick ya up at 6." And just like that I was alone with Josh again. A silence fell over us.

"Well, I better get going" I said sheepishly. He looked slightly disappointed.

"Okay, I'll um walk you home" he said awkwardly. I looked up at him, my eyes wide with surprise.

"Why would you do that" I asked. I've dealt with creeps, and they all ask to walk me home. After that I feel like someone is watching me, its one of the reasons I move so much.

He was the fear in my eyes, "I need to know where to pick you up." I almost sighed with relief. "And it's not everyday I get to walk a beautiful girl home."

I blushed a little and looked down at my feet, "this way." We walked in silence, a very awkward silence. We finally arrived at my house, the silence was going to kill me.

"This is my house, I'll see ya around" I started walking up the stone path to the porch.

"Wait" he called. I glanced behind me, waiting for him to say something. "This is you house, you've got to be kidding!"

"Why, what's wrong with it" I felt tears sting in my eyes.

"Noting, its just...wow. This is the biggest house in town" he sounded amazed.

I felt my checks get hot, "oh...well I'll see you at 6." Why do I get so tounge tied around him, he's just a guy.

"Yeah, okay" he walked away without another word. I walked inside the large 3 story house, the stone path leading to the porch had flowers on both sides. I opened the door to an empty house. It was depressingly quiet, ever since we moved they've been out of the house more and more.

Walking up the staircase an eriee feeling slowly filled me. With each step my uneasiness grew. As I walked into my room I checked the time, 4:56. I have about an hour to get ready for the party. I started rummaging through my closet looking for something to wear. I finally found a dress, sparkly purple tang-top and my dark was jeans. I was about to pull off my shirt when I stopped.

I walked over to the window and looked around. Maybe I was just crazy or paranoid, but I felt like someone was watching me. I closed the curtains and went to the bathroom to change. After that I stared in the mirror, my parents thought I got rid of this outfit 3 towns ago. I put on some make-up and went to my room to get my perfume. When I opened the door I noticed the curtains were opened. I thought it was weird, but thought nothing of it. I put on my black flats with the little bows on the toes and some earrings. I checked the time again, 5:52. I went to the living room to watch TV while I waited.

I was laying upside down when they came. I heard the car pull up, I grabbed my purse and ran to the door. I locked the door and ran straight into something. His arms rapped around my waist keeping me from falling on my butt. I looked up into Josh's big brown eyes, and I felt my checks get hot. He leaned in slightly, but pulled away when Mike yelled.

"Hey, hurry it up" he called. "We're going to be late!"

I felt him growl and he muttered something under his breath. "We're coming" he called back. "Keep your pants on!" I giggled and he turned to me a little surprised, like he forgot I was there for a moment. He smiled and dragged mr to the car.

Josh opened the door for me, I gave a small, shy smile and sat in the back seat. He closed the door and sat in the front. He started to say something to Mike, but was cut off by laughing. Mike said something and Josh laughed nervously.

Mike turned in his seat to face me, a huge grin slapped on his face. "This party is gonna be sick." They started cracking jokes and laughing, while I sat there silently. I didn't even know where we were going, why did I say yes?

The car stopped and Josh opened my door, small forced smile made it's way on my face, and as I stepped out I saw some kids from school. We walked in and the blast of music knocked out my eardrums.

"I'll get you something to drink" Josh yelled over the music.

"Thanks" I yelled back.

He walked through a maze of people and disappeared into the crowd. I leaned against a wall, some guys walking passed me saying hey and winking. I rolled my eyes and sighed. All the guys here were probably the same. I looked at everyone in the room, my eyes fell on a guy in the corner. He was staring at me, smiling evilly.
