Once the wind died down, I clung to Jagger more. I didn't want to open my eyes, who knew what I'd see? A dark, damp cave in the middle of the woods? Maybe some dudgeon in a Gothic castle? Jagger chuckled his tongue against the side of his mouth in amusement.

He laughed, "you always cling so tightly Violet." I left his lips against my ear, "we're home now, open your eyes." His breath in my made me shiver. Hesitantly I opened my eyes. We were standing in a giant room, marble flooring and a grand stair case, the kind that gets wider at the bottom that are used in those cliche grand entrance for balls. Standing in front of me were a group of people that seemed my age. Each had something a bit odd about them, I hid behind Jagger, thinking that they were monsters here to kill me.

The boy with cat ears laughed at me, while the girl with giant wings slapped him and scolded him for laughing. Another girl with 3 fox tails stared intently at me, her piercing eyes made me feel even more nervous. A small girl with light blonde hair was last, holding a golden pocket watch, she stared at me curiously. Her eyes were completely grey, I felt bad, she must be blind.

"She certain looks like Violet" the small girl said, making me jump. She could see? Then what was wrong with her eyes.

"Well a lot of girls look like Violet" she snapped. "That doesn't make her Violet." She huffed and ran away, on all fours.

"Don't mind Sinopa" the cat eared boy said, still snickering. "She's just going through a heat I think." The girl with wings started hitting him again."

"She's not violet" a voice said behind me, making me jump in front of Jagger now. He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my waist. I was too shocked to try to remove it. A person floating over the ground in a deep violet cloak with a hold over her eyes was now behind us.

Jagger's grip got tighter, "of course this is Violet. I mean just look at her! How can she not be Violet!?"

The cloaked girl didn't say anything for a moment. "She is not Violet" she repeat, and then in a puff of violet smoke, she was gone.

The girl with wings groaned, "I am just SO sorry about them!" She fluttered over to me, smiling sweetly, "I'm Nixie, that grump was Tyna, don't pay attention to her. Obviously you know Jagger, cat boy over there is Simon, and that is Susanna." She said all this while shaking my hand vigorously, I felt that it would fall off at any moment.

"Um I'm Aquamarine" I said awkwardly, not knowing what else to say. Everyone started laughing and Jagger grabbed my hand, and smiled sweetly again.

"She hasn't regained her memory yet" he spoke softly. "I'll give you the tour." With that he started pulling me towards the stairs. He started to ramble on about the castle history, how some evil tyrant used to live here and the revolt happened. His eyes sparkled when he spoke about it. Personally history bored me, but I could fake excited since I still might be murder by this complete stranger.

"Um Jagger..." I said in a meek whisper. He looked back and smiled at me, waiting for my to speak again. "I'm um really tired..."

"Of course" he said, "this long distance travel does ware out you, I keep forgetting." He started pulling my down a different hallway. "This is your old room, I didn't change a thing about it." Pushing open the gigantic doors revealed a large bedroom. It was nice...not my style but still nice.

A bed with strange carvings was the first thing I saw, it was a queen sized I guessed, meant for 2 really. On both sides were a small wooden side table. Against the wall was a wardrobe, wooden, like the bed. Some design on the doors and sides.Running my hand across it, tracing the swirled in the wood.

"Um, thanks I guess" I said slowly and uneasily, not sure what else I was suppose to say.  He just smiled wider, probably thinking this room sparked some weird memory or something.

I'll let you rest for a bit" he bowed and walked out of the room, leaving my alone. I walked around the room, there was another door that led to a bathroom and a pair of doors leading to a balcony. On the right side of the bed was a portrait, my eyes widened as I look the picture in.

The light brown hair, random blonde streaks here and there, pale porcelain skin, and big purple eyes, exactly like mine. The same small timid smile I used for pictures or meeting anyone I didn't know. I had to touch it to make sure it wasn't a mirror. On the frame was a small plaque you had to lean in to read. Only 3 little words: portrait of Violet.
