I was going through some old papers in my room and I found a poem that I wrote back when I was in like the fifth grade. When we were kids we all had the fantasies of what we would love to do if we had no parental authorities for awhile. We wouldn't have to be accountable for anything. These were just a few of the things that I had in mind that I would've loved to do if my parents went away for a weekend when I was a kid.
If My Parents Went Away for the Weekend
If my parents went away for the weekend do you know what I'd do? I'd get on the phone and order a traveling zoo. I'd have a fashion show and call all of my friends, so we can try on silly clothes and look through all sorts of odds and ends. I'd wreck my room and draw on the walls, and maybe make a tower of pizza eighty feet tall. I'd eat tons of chocolate and jump on the couch, I'd be bouncing off the walls in laughter and shout. Yes, if my parents went away for the weekend, that's what I'd do. I guess I could lock my brother up in the traveling zoo.
