I opened the door to my apartment and walked inside with Mia and Jason. We sat down around the table and I pulled our menus out of the bag.

– It's been forever since I've eaten this. – Mia said as she took a bite of her hamburger and me and Jason laughed at her satisfied expression.

– Forever? I eat this every week. – Jason said.

– Well, I don't want to be unhealthy. – she said with her mouth full. I smiled at how cute she was.

– I'm fit. – Jason raised his eyebrow.

– But you're unhealthy. – she stated.

– What a bullshit conversation you guys are having. – I told them.

– Shut up. – they both said in unison. I rolled my eyes.

– Who cares? – Jason continued.

– You should.

– You should too, you're eating it right now. – Jason pointed at her hamburger.

– It's okay to- – Jason interrupted her.

– Don't give me that "It's okay to have this once in a while" bullshit. – Mia stopped chewing and stared at him with a death glare. Jason finished his hamburger and grabbed another one from the bag.

– Two?! – Mia made a shocked expression.

– What? I was hungry. – Jason took a bite.

After dinner the three of us sat down on the couch smoking and playing PS4 against each other.

– I should come here more often. – Mia let out. Me and Jason looked at each other. Mission accomplished. I had finally won her over and convinced her to get out of her hole and have fun. Well, I didn't convince her, I made her do it. However she ended up liking it.

– I agree. – I said. Suddenly the doorbell rang.

– Who is it? – Jason asked and paused the game. I shrugged and got up.

I opened the door and Jennifer was standing right in front of me. I sighed.

– Can I come in? – she asked.

– Well, I- – she walked inside without waiting for my answer. I rolled my eyes and closed the door.

– Oh, Mia... – Jennifer said with contempt. I glanced at Mia and noticed that she became tense all of a sudden. I realized how Jennifer could make her feel uncomfortable.

– What do you want? – I asked her as I leaned against the sofa in front of Mia.

– To talk to you, if you don't mind. It's important. – she said nervously.

– Sure. – I nodded, indicating she could start talking.

– In private. – she raised an eyebrow.

– I'll be right back. – I said and walked to the kitchen. I saw Jennifer walk into the kitchen and close the door behind her. – What is it?

– I need to tell you something.

– I got that part already, just tell me. – I was about to put my hands in my pockets but she moved closer to me and grabbed them.

– I don't know what we're doing. – she started out.

– What do you mean? – I was confused. I couldn't help but notice how well dressed she was and how good her hair smelled. Her eyes wandered around the kitchen.
