"A Dying Rose" by J.C. & A. G.

Roses are dying, violets aren't blue. It's time to say, goodbye to you.

But the truth is, I love you.

The truth is revealed, there's nowhere to hide. I thought you were honest, but you always lied.

I knew that's how it always was. You never listened, you never loved.
Never loved me. But that's okay, 'cause now you know how hard it was for me to say.

The rain is pouring on this gloomy day. The birds are all trying to fly away.
The grass is soggy, oh, my eyes, the pollen trees can hardly survive.
The sun is hiding behind the clouds, the wind is whistling very loud.
The trees swaying side to side, a sunny day is out of sight.
I want to see those flowers blooming, kids playing outside, instead of babies crying.
People are surfing that tide, barbecues are going.
On that summer night, why is it not sunny outside?

Alas, my love for you is very great. Though I hope I wasn't too late.
I do not know where you are now, but not being able to see your face, I just can't allow.
My heart feels very empty, I long to touch your sweet skin. But my time is wearing thin.
Wherever you are, please know this: before I die, I just want a kiss.
