A dark haired, small statured woman sat in a chair in the middle of her hotel room in Washington D.C. letting a slightly older, plumper woman fiddle around her face applying makeup and fixing her hair. The radio was playing softly in the background, barely loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Lauren Jauregui is making history today as the first woman, first openly gay and first person of Cuban decent to be president of the United States of America. Not only that, she also will be the youngest president in history at 35 years, 6 monthes and 4 days..."

"Ivanka, can you turn that down a little, I need to concentrate." The woman in the chair asked politely.

"Sure thing, Ms. Cabello." A slightly accented voice rang out as the radio volume lowered to silence.

"How many times do I have to ask you for you to call me Camila?" The singer said with a light smile, her eyes sparkling with kindness.

Before the woman could answer the door to the hotel burst open and two teenagers walked into the room. One had the same eyes as the woman sitting in the chair with slightly lighter hair and an awkward grin while the other one had curly blonde hair with mischievous green eyes and smile.

"Hi mom, I hope you don't mind but Kenzie wants to go out before the Inauguration." The brown hair girl said, clutching the blonde girl's hand tightly in her own.

"That's fine Sofi... Just make sure you two are back by sound check, and no taunting Ally either" The woman said, her last sentence obviously pointed at the blonde girl.

"Thanks!" The brunette teen screeched tugging on her girlfriend's hand and running out of the room.

"They are so cute together, Ms. Cabello" The Russian woman commented as she straighted a piece of the woman's hair.

"My name is Camila... and I know they are the cutest little buttons in the world." The singer said smiling and rereading the lyrics to the national anthem for the millionth time.

"Ok Jauregui, you've been waiting for this moment your entire life, now straighten up your blazer and go out there and kick some-"

"LAUREN ARE YOU TALKING TO YOURSELF AGAIN?!" A male voice rang out from outside the bathroom door.

"NO! SHUT UP CHRIS!" The black haired woman yelled back crossing her arms and pouting.

"Just wait until the whole country knows that their new president actually talks to herself." This time a female voice spoke with a hint of a smirk.

"Taylor, you shut up too!" The future president growled unlocking the bathroom door and walking out with an authoritative swing of her hips.

Although Lauren walked and talked with defined finesse and authority, she was actually the most awkward person in the world.

As soon as she walked out of the bathroom, all of her team sat straighter and looked towards her, except her family who were all laughing their butts off.

"Let's get this show on the road." Lauren smirked as she looked out into the crowd of people supporting her.

"So Lauren, I was thinking that maybe for our first order of business we could discuss the possibility of a war against Russa?" Lauren's Vice President, Austin Mahone, said jogging to keep up with the black haired woman.

"Sure whatever, let's just focus on this right now ok?" Lauren said as she pushed open the doors of the hotel to get to the limo that was waiting for her.

The ride to the Capitol Building was fairly quiet with only Mike Jauregui talking about how the Dolphins were going to definitely win their next game. As soon as they reached the Capitol Building, Lauren and Austin were quickly escorted away from everyone else for their protection.

Camila was gripping the microphone nervously, going over the lyrics to the National Anthem for the million and third time in her head. She was methodically making sure she knew her cue to start singing. She was looking over the crowd of thousands of people ready to watch a moment of history that will never be forgotten for the rest of this countries existence. Her eyes finally found what she was looking for when they reached her daughter and Kenzie sitting in the front row, hands tightly grasped in one another.

Suddenly the band behind her started playing and Camila opened her mouth to sing the first note:

"Oh, say can you see,

By the dawn's early light,

What so proudly we hailed,

At the twilight's last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars,

Through the perilous fight,

O'er the ramparts we watched,

Were so gallantly streaming.

And the rocket's red glare,

The bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night,

That our flag was still there.

Oh say does that star spangled banner
yet wave,

For the land of the free, and the home of the brave."

The crowd erupted with cheers as Camila finished, smiling and waving to the crowd.

She turned to head off stage right with her head down and eyes on the ground. Going over every part of her performance from her little flub at the beginning to the part in the middle where she was slightly off key, she was so busy tearing herself down she didn't notice the other people walking towards her. Then suddenly she collided with someone, knocking her to the ground.

"Damn it Camila, always screwing something up!"

"Oh... I'm so sorry about that."

Camila looked up into the greenest eyes she's ever seen.
