The flashing lights and obnoxiously loud music blinded my senses as I swiftly walked through the crowd of people hopelessly avoiding any contact.

"Get your nasty sweat covered self off me." I demanded as yet another drunk slime ball threw himself at me.  From underneath the sleeze I could see the finish line.
The giant redwood doors were my saving grace. If I could just reach them I would be out into the semi smoggy yet somehow refreshing air of Gotham City. Ten feet. Six Feet. Two Feet.
"Victorrryyy" I whispered to myself  as my hands made contact with the door and my face made contact with the crisp night time air. Atlas I can finally begin my walk home where I always belonged with my Chinese takeout and Netflix marathon. 'So close yet so far my love.' I thought to myself.
Someone desperately trying to mirror my footsteps broke me out of my daydream as my heart rate accelerated. Knowing just how dangerous Gotham is I reach for the pepper spray I always keep in my nifty over the shoulder boulder holder. If this person wants a fight they're getting one.
I could feel them getting closer even when I walked at my max speed. Realizing that there was only one choice I turned quickly and without hesitation blasted that nasty walnut with my pepper in a can. "Not today" I say barely loud enough for the thug to hear. "Oh ho ho sweetheart are you in big trouble." The man began looking me dead in the eye showing no sign of pain or weakness. "Is it too late to send a muffin basket?" I ask shyly before the thug throws a bag over a head and me over his shoulder calling for his car.
Knowing already that death is inevitable I fight like hell. Pushing. Punching. Insulting. Biting. Clawing. Everything. Yet as we all know it was to no avail. Sitting and awaiting my fate was the only thing I could do.
