Chapter 2: How we Met
Kara's POV
"Watch where you're going!"
"Sorry."
"Are you blind?!"
"Sorry."
I kept my gaze down at my feet not wanting to see their faces. I was an outcast here in our school. In other words-a loser.
I kept bumping on them...How can I stop that? Well, Most of the students were running and most of the time, they kept pushing me in the back, telling me to hurry up. There was no reason to be rude but I can't blame them if they were already born with that atittude.
Back then, I was the shy type, the goodie-goodie, and the freak with glasses. I thought that everybody was fair and pretty but as I can tell...based on my experience, They seemed not that normally kind to people which always made me frown. They think that if they achieve something, they'll feel like they were the boss of everythng...ring a bell?
If No then this is my story.
I am the nerd of the class. The poker face girl and the loner. I didn't have that much friends which I can tell. Almost everybody wouldn't want to befriend with me. I thought they were just making themselves close to me is that for their grades. Yes, am I right?
Who would want to be willingly close to the School Loser and the only person who doesn't have a surname? Right, Nobody.
So, this is my boring life, my living Hell.
If God would let me have a wish for a lifetme, I would gladly choose to Disappear right in front of them. It would be fine if that could happen.
Because.....I am Nothing. Just an Outcast.

I was happily skipping myself down the halls heading to the Library...my heaven.
If whoever told that Library is a boring place...Well, they got themselves wrong. This place is damn good. Peaceful, knowledgable and my happiness.....Books!
I was now infront of a bookshelf. I shrugged and continued picking the right book for me to borrow. I kept my eyes on the back covers of the books...
Breathing Lessons, A cat in the window...DragonSong.
I gushed as I pulled the book out of the shelf. I eyed the title, admiring the background. DragonSong was written in front of the book, printed in bold letters in Italic. I flipped a page. My eyes grew wide as I stared down the page. The very first page. There was a dried blood spilled on the center, covering the whole word of the author.
I gasped covering my mouth from letting a loud scream. It went successful. Almost unconcious, I dropped the book from my hand and backed away.
"This Isn't happening." I tried to reason, nervously biting my lower lip, holding back a sob. The page was oblivous for my fingerprints. Oh, did i mention that I was known as the coward?
Yes. I ran, yanking the door open. I was about to step outside when Green eyes immediately darted my attention. I was losing myself from my thoughts. I wanted to walk away but it seemed like this pair of green eyes locked with my Sapphire ones. The green ones darkened making my eyes look frightened. I was hoping that I'll have the chance to meet him again as I walk out.
His eyes was still locked with mine as I hurriedly walked down the hall.
I was making it on purpose that I was making myself distant from him. I diverted my eyes in one of the paintings hanging securely on the wall making me lose contact with him. I stopped my tracks and decided that I should just forget what had happened today and just relax for a bit.
It strucked me when an unfamilliar pain flowed in my palm like a bruise running through my blood, connecting to my risk. I reached my sleeve and my eyes widened. My birthmark had just gotten thick and bigger than before. The pumping from my risk stopped and I slowly relaxed like I was mormal again.

Shane's POV
I was heading to the library where I would be free to read my book. I knew where it was placed. it was titled DragonSong. I marked it with my own blood. Of course, I'm a vampire. You could say that.
I was about to pull the door when it opened, revealing an innosent girl that looked like in she's a hurry. I didn't know what something clicked in me but I almost not myself when I looked at her eyes. It was Sapphire. We locked gazes and I immediately felt pain from my left hand. I yanked it away from her sight so she coudn't see that i had a mark on it. The pain was unrecognized. It wasn't like that when I was a kid back then. It wasn't this horrible. I coundn't help myslef anymore so I let out a growl of pain. It seemed like it made her pull in reality and she started walking away. I felt cold without her.
Why would I feel lonely if I have girls swooning over me?
Our eyes was still locked, not even thinking that I should continue my way to my book. I looked at her hand. It had fingerprints of blood leaving me expressionless. Until her image was gone through the hall, I was back to reality and continued myself to the library.
My nose smelt my own blood. I quickly hurried my way to my book and I found it lying on the floor, letting the page -where I marked my blood- open. My eyes widened.
Who else would touch our precious book if it wasn't that Sapphire girl who had blood on her hand?
Case Closed. Yep, It was her.
