Luna to the Alpha Twins

Chapter One

"You're never going to find a mate staying in your room forever Charlotte." My mom said opening my bedroom door

"Mom I've told you over and over I'm not going, it's embarrassing." I said setting my book back on my desk

"Alpha James wants all unmated females to attend tonight, Charlotte you're going with your sister and that's final." She said, pulling open my closet doors "Do you still have the gown you wore to your brother's mating ceremony?"

"It should still be in its bag in the back." I stood up from my bed to help her look

I reached around my mom pulling out the large garment bag from the very back of my closet. I set the bag down on my bed and carefully unzipped it making sure the dress wasn't caught.

"Oh honey, you're going to look so beautiful tonight." My mom sniffled hugging me tightly

"How long until the pack is leaving mom?" I asked gently pulling away from our hug

"You've got about 3 hours before our Alpha wants everyone to leave. So that means go shower and Lacey will be here soon to help you with your hair and makeup." She gently shoved me towards my bathroom and walked out my door

I started the shower making sure the water was at the right temperature and set a towel on the counter. Stepping into the shower I decided to was my hair first to get rid of the oil and hair product from the day before. After my hair was clean I shaved where it was needed and scrubbed my body clean.

Standing in the shower gives a person a lot of time to think about life and what-not. I always thought that once I had turned 16 I'd find my mate and he would be by my side the very next day. Yet here I am 3 years later and still haven't found him, I used to blame myself thinking that if I had looked harder or searched more I would've found him sooner. Now I believe that if the moon goddess wants me to find my mate I will on fates account not mine.

My name is Charlotte Kane, oldest daughter and 4th child to Steven and Stella Kane, Beta rank in the Dark Moon pack. I am 19 and have not yet found my mate, which in my pack is highly frowned upon, most werewolves find their mates between 16 and 17 and the longer it takes after that the less likely they are to find them.

My 3 older brothers are fully mated which just leaves my sister Lacey and I to find our mates. Lacey being 16 should find hers fairly quickly unless he isn't in our pack. Tonight our Alpha is requiring all unmated wolves to attend the Light Moon pack's Alpha coronation. Many packs from all over will be attending which gives us all a better chance to find our mates.

The coronation is for Alpha Kadin and Alpha Jackson Pierce where they will be officially given their Alpha titles and will be pressed to find their mate. Because they are twins they will share a mate, in the werewolf world twins are one soul which has been split into two bodies, twins are rare and only happen once a century.

Many rumors have gone around that Kadin has forced his brother to give up his title and take the Beta title so he can have a pack to run on his own.

"CHAR! Are you almost done? We only have less than 2 hours." Lacey yelled from the other side of the door

"Yeah Lace I'm getting out now." I called back shutting off the water and grabbing my fluffy pink towel to wrap around my body

I dried most of my hair with another towel and wiped away the smudged makeup under my eyes and walked out of the bathroom.
