Zayn crouches down next to me to reassure me, he takes my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.

"Boys, this is Bree. Bree-" he stops.

"Bree Carter" I say.

Niall stands up and comes over to shake my hand. He has a warm smile and is even sweeter in real life. Next Harry stands and comes over to introduce himself.

"Hello Bree, how are you doing?" He says with a half grin.

"I'm really good now, thanks." I giggle.

Harry smiles, flicks his hair, and returns to his seat. Zayn wheels me over to Liam who is sitting on a chair next to the bed containing Louis.

Liam bends over to give me a hug, his coat his cold against my skin but his body warmth makes up for it.

Louis smiles at me and shakes my hand.

"Are you sure it's okay that I'm in here?" I say, not sure if Louis was okay with it.

"Yes of course." Louis says.

"Zayn texted me before and I said it was fine."

I turn to look at Zayn who is looking at his phone with deep concentration.

"Who are you messaging?" Liam asks him.

"It's probably Perrie. Haha!" I say smiling to cover my jealousy over her.

"We broke up a while ago." Zayn says.

"Oh," I start, "sorry to hear."

"It's fine. She wasn't ready for a real relationship yet. It's better this way." he explains.

There's a knock on the door and nurse Jaqui walks in holding Louis' lunch.

"Oh hello Miss Carter!" She says to me.

"Your lunch is in your room," she starts, "I thought you were supposed to be at physio therapy?" She asks.

"Um. Yea I should probably go now." I say.

"I'll take you down now if you'd like?" She says in her warm, motherly tone.

" Yes please." I say.

Zayn hugs me good bye and puts his phone number in my hand.

"Call me," he begins, "we can catch up for dinner tonight in your room, my shout." He says.

The other boys wave good bye as nurse Jaqui wheels me out. I squeeze the piece of paper with Zayns number on it in my hand and smile.

"You're blushing!" Nurse Jaqui smiles.

"I think Zayns got a thing for you."

"You think so?" I ask.

"Definitely!" She exclaims.

Maybe this would be a good christmas!
