Saturday rolled around and it was time to get ready for my date with Dakota. As I raved through my closet looking for an outfit my phone blared it's Kim possible ringtone indicating I got a text.
Dakota - hey gorgeous. My mom told me that most girl stress over what to wear on a first date so I thought maybe I'd help you out. Go for a casual fancy ;)
I smiled to myself thinking about how he asked his mom about a first date.
Leila - sounds good, and your mom was right. I was just currently in my closet.
Dakota - glad I caught you at the right time then ;) I'll pick you up around 5:30-ish?
Leila - yeah, 78245 Ophelia drive.
Dakota - got it cutie. See you then.
At that point I put my phone back on the charger. I feel myself blushing as I pull a lace floral dress out of my closet and nude pumps. I lay it out on my bed before going to the shower.
It the shower of course being the bright person I am, I place my shower speaker on the wall and let the music blare out. Of course it was Jackson Five The love you save.
"Darling take my hand" I sing to the song as I was my hair. Figuring I might prune up if I stay in here any longer. I turn off the water leaving my shower speaker in the same spot and walking to my vanity mirror. I stand in front of it with my towel wrapped tightly around me as I slip my white robe on. I sit down on the stool and begin blowdrying my hair. I toss it up when it's done and begin my make up.
I finish my foundation and concealer and begin to do my eyes. Nothing to bold though. And lastly of course, I add my highlight.
I pull my hair out of if its makeshift ponytail and let it fall down in its natural waves. I brush it back in to half up half down. I slip on my shoes
and see my phone light up with a notification.
Dakota - I'm here beautiful ;)
I smile at the text before slipping on my shoes, running downstairs, and out the door locking it behind me.
I see a Dakota leaning up against his black Porsche. He was wearing black jeans and a grey long sleeve shirt, wearing that charming smile he gave me at the grocery store.
"Hey gorgeous" he says stepping forward to grab my hand. I feel my cheeks heat up slightly as I greet him back.
"Hi" I smile looking down. He tilts my chin up with his finger and leans forward causing my heart to race. He whispers in my ear telling me things that make me smile even more. He then leans back and grabs my hand pulling me to the passenger side of the car and opening the door for me to get in. He closes it behind me before climbing in the car himself.
"Where are we going? " I ask him getting curious with all the unfamiliar roads. He laughs before taking his eyes off the road and looking at me for a split second before looking back at the road. I watch him smirk as he licks he lips before answering.
" I'm not telling you, but I'll give you a hint. Your dress. ". I look down at my dress that is printed with many flowers.
" uh a flower boutique? " he lets out an airy laugh before responding.
" No "
"Well where the hell would we be going with flowers? " I chuckle.
" Now if I told you what's the fun in that? "
" Um me knowing if I'm gonna live to see tomorrow. "
" Well I can promise I'm not a murderer. A kidnapper maybe" I laugh as he pulls into an unfamiliar parking lock with a name that reads 'Lilac Vibes'
" What is Lilac Vibes? " I ask referring to the sign.
" you'll find out when we go inside " he smiles. He gets out and runs over to my side of the car opening the door for me.
