I love my mom.... I love it when she gives me money, agrees with me, or you know when she randomly decides to make me breakfast the next morning making me question her sincerity. I also believe that she loves me back too, like when when I get A's and B's or just being a good son. However, I think we both agrees that when waking me up to school, love is the last thing that comes to mind.

"Benny! Wake up!"

This has already been the third time she tries to wake me up. I'm sorry but Mondays are not my days. Just let me close my eyes for one more second....

"Benny!"

"Shit!" I wake up as fast as I could the second I hear her walking down the stair. Those stumps are her signature moves of if you don't wake up you might just as well don't.

As fast as I could, I reach for a shirt and pant to put on to show her when she arrive that I'm already up and ready to go. I think she catches on to it already because whenever I does this she would squint her eyes in suspicions.

"See?" I said and immediately walks out. I hit my head on my door on the way out because I'm still very asleep.

Ever since I came out to my mom and the rest of my siblings, things have changed. Before, when eating breakfast, everyone would jokes and play around with each other especially my younger brother. But now he's quiet and don't really talk much anymore.

"Everyone's excited for your first day of school?" My mom said sipping her morning coffee.

"Totally." My sister, brother, and I we all say unenthusiastically in unison.

"Oh come on guys," she said and put her coffee down and has her hands on me and my brother's back and say in an optimistic voice, "It's going to be fun."

"Ok, mom's being weird again, I'm heading out first." My brother take one last bite of his sandwich and grab his backpack and left.

"Remind me how old Andy is again?" My mom asked.

"14," my sister Cassandra said.

"He's at the age," mom said and puts her hand on right shoulder. "I remember when you were at that age." She gazes at me weirdly.

"Yeah.... I think I'm just gonna go too." I always finish my meal before doing anything so I take my last bite and gulp down the rest of my orange juice and left.

I was happy to see that my mom and my sister is still the same and hopefully Andy is too, one day. I feel like I've let him down somehow by coming out. Maybe I shouldn't had.

So, today is the first of Sophomore year, the most boring year of high school or so people says. Sophomore year unlike freshman year when it's all new and exciting where you still don't know what you want to do and are curious about all kinds of things, and then comes sophomore year. The reason why junior year isn't include with the boring middle year is because of it solely being close to senior year, that's it! I really hope what they say about this year isn't true.

Here I am, waiting for my bus and I begin to panic when I saw my bus number on a bus without a head, it's flat headed bus! NO! Why can't it just be a normal bus with a normal head? Everything is going wrong from the start, it's a sign, a sign for disaster! This is bad, I thought as I climb into the bus.

It was kind of nice being the first group on a bus, you get to choose where you want to sit, back for the cool kid, and front for the nerd. I've always consider me to be in between so I sat in the middle; it means that I'm normal. I took the seat behind the one with the emergency exit as it had a bump under for me to put my feet on. No one really likes the seat with the emergency exit, it's tedious and stupid especially when you accidentally push the handle.
