"D.....Dean.."
"Oh god..." He breathed heavily, a single drop of water trickled down his temple and hit the floor,
There was a complete silence...
"Dean." Cas was leaning into Sam, his knuckles white from grasping on for his dear life. Castiel's pale skin was littered with reds, blues, purples, pinks and browns, making his body look like the cosmos, a crimson flow was pouring from the corner of his lips and the gash on his cheekbone.
"D..." Cas attempted to repeat the name of the tanned hunter standing before him, but the word got caught in his throat and he choked. Instead of words, blood spluttered out of his already darkened lips and onto painted the tiled floor a deep red. Sam continued to hold Cas up and looked at him with sympathy and despair in his eyes. Dean scrambled to aid his angel, holding Cas's body against his own, the pure white towel round his waist dyed itself a dark colour. Ignoring this, he dragged Cas's limp body into his own bedroom. "Sam, find Gabriel." He snapped. Sam nodded and ran out into the main co-ordinating room to call for Gabe.
"Dean.. It hurts," Castiel groaned,
"I know, I know," Dean's voice cracked. He began to mop up Cas's wounds with a damp towel , he flinched and mumbled in pain. "What.... What happened" Dean poured alcohol over a cloth, instead of attempting to speak, as he knew he couldn't, Cas let out a low, pained groan. "This, this is gonna hurt," Dean admitted sorrowfully.Slowly, he gently pushed the saturated rag against the deep gash that broke along Cas's face.
"Mhmhhhhh..." He hissed violently, clenching the now blood soaked bed sheets between his Crimson stained hands.
"Cas, I'm sorry, please.." Dean's attention was turned to the pooling blood now on his chest, he was going to have to get a closer look.
Gently, he slid his blue tie loose, letting it fall the the floor beside the bed, gaining him access to Castiel's shirt. Cas half-sat up as to aid Dean in removing his coat. Like the tie, the coat was also discarded on the floor beside the bed.
"Dean." Cas repeated, pain glazing over his eyes, Dean bit his lip;
"I'm sorry." He unbuttoned Castiel's shirt slowly, his spare hand provided warmth to Cas's hip. When he had finished, he gently caressed his wounds with the soaked towel. "A-h-hhhh..." The now clenched Angel whimpered, reeling from the sting of the alcohol.
"Sh.." Dean cooed. "it's okay, I promise, you're going to be okay"Meanwhile Sam shook Gabriel violently,
"So Cas fell and I was there and he was bleeding and then I was covered in blood and I called Dean and Dean was like 'ah' so he took Cas and-"
"Sh." Gabriel silenced Sam mid sentence. "Dean has him. He'll be able to heal himself" he reassured. Sam swallowed hard, not wanting to doubt what Gabe said.Cas began to choke up streams of more red fluid,
"Cas you're losing blood fast," Dean sounded panicked,"Heal yourself", the weak Angel looked up at the scared man towering over and was lost for words, "Heal yourself! God dammit Castiel!" He nearly yelled.
Grace." Cas muttered, unable to even open his eyes at this point. "They took my grace..." His vision began to blur,
"Stay with me Cas- don't you fall asleep..." Deans voice began to fade "Stay with me.. Stay wi-..."
Silence."SAMMY!" Dean gripped hold of Castiel's shoulders and pleaded for help. "SAMMY." He repeated, after not being answered. "Sam!" His voice began to give out after all the shouting, his throat beginning to ache and throb. "Sammy..." He tried again, without success to summon his brother. At this point, a line of salty fluids started to form in the duct of his eye, he wasn't going to give up on Cas now, they've come too far.
"Goddammit." Dean swallowed up his tears and collected enough strength to stand up, inspecting the scene, he decided to haul Castiel up into his arms as to improve the standard of transportation. After feeling the blood begin to run down Dean's almost naked body, he remembered to also pick up some of his own clothes on the way into the hall. Stumbling slowly, Dean managed to get to the garage door before his knees buckled, both the angel and the hunter fell a mess onto the floor. "Dammmit......" He cursed himself almost silently and resorted to dragging Castiel along the floor into the car. His body limp and now cold, Castiel was sprawled into the back on the Impala, free to ruin the lining with his own blood.
"Stay with me angel boy," Dean mumbled as he started the car and pulled on some clothes, not bothering with the fact they, also, were now covered in blood.
