It was the first day back at woodly academy now in her third year, Alex entered head down all to aware of her surroundings.
Alex's steps get a little more frantic.  She spots her friends her shoulders relax as she's about to reach Ella, Jenny, Amelia, and lex but notices, the boys staring at her and suddenly the strides become more confident, her chin goes up and she begins to sway. Her hips pretending not to notice as they all look her up and down one at a time. lingering a little longer on the places that catch most heterosexual guys attention. Alex was glad at least someone was enjoying the 'creative dieting' she'd started after what happened with max .

Flash back to the middle of summer :

"Hey max who's this," some walking twig said ,as she approached Alex and max. The second he took in the girls appearence he moved further from Alex shouting "no one"loud enough to make Alex and the girl recoil then he leaned towards the twig. She had yet to learn the name of the way he looked at her reminded Alex of how he looked at her the first time they met just before he said "has anyone ever told you, when you smile the sun seems to be a little brighter the air tastes a bit sweet-" her thoughts are interrupted by the sound of Max's voice. "has anyone ever told you when you smile the sun seems to be brighter" Alex laughed sarcastically, about to say how his words sounded familiar when the girl got a phone call and excused her self for a moment. Once she'd turnt around max looked at Alex with rage she'd never seen from him she guessed he knew what she was about to say "don't you dare open your mouth you dumb bitch" the harsh emphasis he put on the last word made her recoil for the second. Since she'd met stick woman seeing that Alex had taken in his words his face went from angry back to what he considered a flirting face!! " she's gonna be back in a second so I think you should leave " Alex's face falls with disappointment and relief. Some part of her had always been a little scared of max but the second he called her beautiful all her better judgement went out the window " but... I missed Jenny's birthday... to meet you.... because you said all you wanted to do was spend time with me"
His expression became more bored with every syllable she spoke "yeah but now Brooke's here, and Your an embarrassment in comparison to her maybe to could loose a couple of pounds to make up for me having to be seen with you while you look like that " she felt like he just spat on her heart yet she stood up and went to leave the worst part was the way he still slapped her arse as she left she was disgusted at him and is piggish ways but even more disgusted at herself for enjoying it .

Alex's POV
I saw them start to walk towards them so I stopped about 6ft away from her friends waiting for the boys to reach her. Luke was the first to speak being the Alfa of there group silently a message that he'd called dibs with the way he stood just a little to close to me the boys do a step back respecting there dumb dibs rule that seemed to be an unwritten agreement with all creatures of low maturity , leaves aka every man i'd met so far I tried sending the girls a silent plea for help as I knew once they started talking there was no escape. Jenny saw the boys and eyed the distance between me and Luke watching to see if I need help while alone alerting the others Luke slapped my ass getting my attention. I go to make a break for it but as I do he says "fuck me you've gotten even fitter" just like that my mood changes which is evident by my body language Ella picks up on this and gives me a 'don't do it' look. Ever the one to try to parent me but by this points it's already to late I've tasted the blood and I'm fucking hungry (refer to description of book) I get even closer to Luke and start playing with my hair. lex takes a star towards us but I shoot her a warning look and she haunts but continues observing the situation for any potential problem he sits down taking in my appearance for the hundredth time since he walked over to me he pats his lap telling me he wants me to sit on it I walk toward him only to be interrupted by "ALEX" I turn round and watch as Jenny makes her way over to me followed by Amelia lex and Ella Jenny shoots me another one of the signature mum looks. Amelia looks at me it frustration for putting my self in this situation yet again " come on Alex we need to talk to you" Jenny says as if everyone here doesn't already know what it's about "why don't you stop being such a buzz kill Jenny" jenny looks at me for support but when I avert my eyes she knows she's lost this battle Jenny heavily signed and began to retreat when Amelia steps forward saying "are you serious Alex you couldn't even make it to first period to start this shit" obviously annoyed that I had clearly chosen the boys. That had only spoken to me because I starved my self for three weeks over the friends that loved me even though I had chosen the boys over . "shut you fat frigid reject" Luke said staring daggers at Amelia his followers begun laughing and making comments like "Luke your so funny" lex's obvious disgust towards these boys was evident from the tone in the voice when she said "oh I'm sorry! I couldn't here you Luke there tongues are so far up your arse it's hanging out your mouth " his friends looked offended but seemed to like they were just trying to cover there amusement Ella said "Alex come on let's just go before you get in more trouble then you can handle" then I heard a chorus of "listen to us" coming from the other three before I was dragged away .
