Pedestal

I put you on a pedestal; high above the rest

Fooled by your cheerful disposition, and false words

Spun by you to perfection blanketing others senses

Fooling those who get too close

Luck made a space between us

First came agony of separation

Then came the inferno of the truth

Lies cut deep, don't blame me for your mess

Never initiated these false rumors

Never opened my mouth

You got fooled putting your trust in tainted hearts

How dare you put the blame on me

Can't you see I'm clean; no dust taints me

Deceit reached you first enveloping you in a cloud

Is it for the best the ignorance you hold

Or is it for the worst

Time will tell my once friend, now evolved into a antagonist

Only time will tell
