"Are you sure you're not tired?" Harry asked disbelievingly as I yawned for what seemed like the thousandth time.
"I'm fine Harry," my words came out slurred, and I worked hard to make them sound somewhat normal again. "Seriously."
"Is that why you keep rubbing your eyes and yawning?" We were waiting in the seating area to board the flight. There was apparently something wrong with the engine so the flight to London was going to be delayed for at least twenty minutes.
I glared at Harry as he laughed, stretching his legs as he sat opposite me. Louis, Niall and Zayn had gone to get food while Liam was texting his girlfriend, Danielle.
"Cassie!" Louis' loud voice attracted some nearby people but he ignored them as he sat down next to me, on my left. "I got you a hot chocolate."
"You got me something that will make me be honest and inevitably put me to sleep?" I smiled as I took the drink from him. "You shouldn't have."
"What do you mean, make you honest?" Zayn asked, plopping himself next to Harry. "Don't you mean alcohol?"
I shrugged. "That too, but the more tired I am the more I will most likely be completely honest with my feelings and be nice as well. So enjoy it while you can."
"Be nice?" Harry asked incredulously. "You just glared at me!"
"Out of love," I teased while Niall sat next to me on my right. Him and Louis let out a chuckle.
As I drunk my hot chocolate, I noticed Harry and Louis exchanging looks, glancing to me every once in a while. When Louis looked at me, I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Just ask her," Harry told Louis.
"Ask me what?" I asked, setting the cup down as I let out a small burp. Niall let out a laugh next to me as I blushed furiously, muttering an apology.
Louis smiled shyly at me, although I could tell he was trying not to laugh at me. "Can I sit next to you on the plane?"
I thought about it. Louis on the plane would definitely be entertaining, not to mention he had these muscles on his arms that looked very, very comfortable.
"Cass?" Niall tugged on my tee and I turned around to face him. "Remember when you promised me to sit next to you?"
I bit my lip in thought, wondering when I had promised this to Niall exactly. I was too tired to think about it any longer so instead I nodded, leaning my head on his shoulder. "I'm pretty sure you're lying but I'm tired and you look adorable when you ask me things."
As soon as these words popped out of my mouth, I blushed again and looked up at Niall, who was blushing as well. I grinned and pinched his cheek. "Niall, you're blushing!"
"So cute Niall," Zayn teased.
I bit my lip again, watching Niall's face turn pink to a nice reddish colour. Despite the way I felt about his teeth, his bright blue eyes stared down at me as his cheeks darkened a shade. Niall really was good looking.
"So you're sitting next to me on the plane then?" Niall asked quietly.
I nodded as I closed my eyes on his shoulder. "You got it, bud."
---
"Haz, shush! You might wake her up!"
"Boo-bear, relax. Cass is dead to the world."
My eyes fluttered as I tried to comprehend where I was. They shot wide open when I realised I was sitting on the plane, my legs curled up in Harry's lap as he was seated next to the window on my right, and my head in Louis' lap as he was sitting on my left.
"What am I doing on the plane? Where am I?"
"Relax," Louis' voice attempted to sooth me, but I wasn't feeling soothed. I sat up quickly, swinging my legs off Harry as I settled in my own seat. "You fell asleep on Niall's shoulder while we were waiting for the plane so when the lady announced we had to go sit on the plane, I offered to carry you and put you next to me and Harry."
If Louis was expecting to be thanked, he was going to have to wait a while. I didn't forget about promising Niall to sit next to him on the plane and I fully intended to keep that promise, regardless of how I felt about him. To me, a promise was a promise and you don't go back on promises.
"Where's Niall?" I questioned Louis. He frowned slightly, not expecting my answer but pointed to the other side of the first class area.
"He's sitting with Zayn and Liam." Sure enough, there he was, sitting on the end of the seat. He seemed down, and all I wanted to do was to go over and give him a big hug. Niall was too cute for words.
I nodded slowly. "Do me a favour?"
Louis nodded excitedly. "Sure!"
I couldn't help but smirk at his newfound enthusiasm. "Move."
His eyebrows raised quickly, "and where would I sit then?"
"In Niall's spot. I promised Niall I'd sit next to him and I'm not going back on my word now." With that, I yelled out Niall's name, not caring who heard me. Instantly he looked up, and a small smile graced his features as he saw who called his name. I couldn't help but smile back.
I waved him over, and he came quickly, smiling exuberantly. "What's up?"
"Louis' is moving so you can sit next to me," I told him, "like I promised." The grin on Niall's face became wider as Louis muttered some unintelligible words and left his seat. Niall sat down immediately, and I lay down once more, ignoring Harry's amused face. My legs spread onto his lap and I lay my head in Niall's. His legs were crossed but I leaned against his thigh as he ran his fingers through my hair.
"Night Niall," I mumbled. He murmured a "good night" to me as well, but before I went to sleep I got up gently to kiss him on the cheek. "Thanks."
Niall and I were fast asleep in seconds, and because of this, I didn't notice the hurt look on Louis' face.
