Prologue
She stared at her mom with love, passion and joy. Her mom resembled her and it was as if she was her older twin. Her mom's blonde hair fell behind her back and her blue eyes that reminded her of the sky.
"What are we going to do for my birthday today?" She asked wanting to know all the details.
Every single year they would have an extravagant birthday celebration that her mom would plan spending all her money that she received from her low-paying job at McDonalds. Her mom tried her best to make her daughter's life happy no matter what it takes.
But this year, she was running low on money. She noticed how her landlord kept raising the price of her rent and she couldn't afford it. 1,000 dollars for rent slowly turned into 1,700 dollars. She also had her abusive boyfriend who always took her money behind her back . Also she had to take care of her beautiful little princess who she cherished.
She didn't know how to say to her daughter that she wouldn't have a birthday party this year. Not because of her not having enough money because even if that was the case she would still try to have nice little birthday party in her dingy apartment that she hated. She couldn't have a birthday party because she wouldn't be able to see her daughter anymore. She was being forced to kick her out of this house and take her somewhere else. She hated the idea but if she didn't her poor daughter would be taken from her and murdered. She couldn't bear the thought so she has to do what's best and take her somewhere else.
"Honey, you won't have a birthday party this year," she said softly not wanting to break her little heart.
"I won't?" Her bottom lip came out in a pout and a small frown was placed on her face.
"Why not?"
"I can't afford it."
"Okay then, that's fine. I don't need a birthday party anyway. Just spending time with my mommy it's all I need and I'll be perfect," she said and went inside her mom's arms and gave her a tight hug.
Her mom hated lying to her but she had to. But it doesn't matter because her daughter will soon find out what's going to happen.
"I'm going to miss you," she muttered to herself but the little girl heard it.
The girl tilted her head to the side in confusion and furrowed her eyebrows in the most adorable way.
She was deep in thought wondering why her mom would say that. They were always going to see each-other and be with each-other, right? She felt like her answer to the question is a no but she shook the thought out of her head not wanting to think of it.
Since she was only an eight year old girl, she thought the only way to get the thought out of her head was to literally shake her head. She shook her head back in forth having her blonde curls shake rapidly around her face.
Her mom watched in amusement laughing at her silly daughter.
"Let's go to the kitchen, I have a surprise," her mom said excitedly clapping her hands together.
She ran after her mom excitement clear in her blue orbs. She looked at the kitchen table to see rainbow cupcakes and bacon cheeseburgers, her favorite.
The cupcakes had the colors of the rainbow on them with vanilla frosting. On top of the cupcake sat a stick that had the princess Belle on it, her favorite princess.
She and her mom ate the cupcakes and burgers while laughing about random nonsense.
"What the fuck are you guys doing! Get in the car now!"
They turned around seeing her mom's boyfriend and both of their smiles instantly vanished.
Her mom picked her up and took her to the car sitting in the backseat. Minutes later her mom's boyfriend came bustling out of the door sitting in the drivers seat.
After a long time of driving we headed to a medium-sized house that had flowers and trees on the front lawn.
Her mom stared at her, teary-eyed and she put her in her embrace. Tears were running down her cheeks landing on her daughter's shirt.
Her daughter was confused as to why they were here and why her mom was crying but she didn't bother to ask any questions.
"I'm going to miss you baby. I'll always love you no matter how long we're separated from each-other. You'll always be in my heart no matter what and I hope that I'll always be in yours. Never forget me because I'm never forgetting you. I love you to the moon and back princess. You're my princess, my heaven and my heart. Happy birthday baby. I'm sorry you have to spend it like this but I have no choice. I love you, forever and always."
She was bawling and she clung onto her daughter tightly never wanting to let her go.
"I love you too, Ma. Forever and always, but what's happening?"
Her mom didn't answer the question but instead gave her a locket. She helped her daughter open it and inside revealed a picture of her and her mom when they went to Disney Land in France.
Minnie Mouse's arms were wrapped around the both of them and she had ice cream all over her face. Her mom was by her side with a massive smile on her face laughing at her daughter and looking at her with love.
Her mom gave her a shoebox. She opened it curious as to what was inside. Inside was a letter and several pictures of her and her mom.
"I have to go now baby. But remember that I'll always love you no matter what."
She kissed her daughter's head and hugged her never wanting to let her go but unfortunately she had to.
She opened the car door and felt the cold breeze of the England weather hit her. She tightened the jacket on her daughter and put her hood up seeing the rain pour down on her small body.
"Go up to the door and ring the doorbell. When the person answers give them this letter okay. I love you so much words can't even explain. Be safe and remember that you're always in my heart. Be a good girl for me okay princess."
"Okay I love you mommy."
"I love you too baby girl."
The little girl ran to the doorstep and rang the doorbell just like her mom told her to. She was scared and nervous not knowing who this house belonged to and she didn't want to find out. She just wanted to be back in her mother's arms.
She turned around about to run back to the car but instead she saw it already driving away.
"Where are you going mommy?" She shouted lost and confused.
Big tears went down her cheeks and she dropped to the floor already missing her mom already.
"I'll be back baby. I promise, I love you!" She heard her mom faintly shout through the car window.
She watched the car drive away into the distance causing her to cry even harder.
Her bottom lip was trembling and she felt sick to her stomach. The rain poured down on her petite body and she cried and screamed.
The door slowly opened and a little boy poked his head out looking at least two years older than her.
He looked at her confused and watched her while she was crying and rolling around on the floor.
She turned her head seeing the boy at the door. He had raven locks of hair and it fell onto his face. He had big hazel eyes that were full of curiosity and sympathy for the little girl.
She walked closer to him and handed him the letter that was in her hand watching his eyes skim through it reading carefully.
"Well, welcome to home!"
