“Wait, wait, wait—you want me to what?”
Dennis chuckled to himself, not believing that she was actually surprised. “Don't you get it? What Dennis wants, Dennis gets.”
She let out a boisterous laugh, taking Dennis off guard. And not to mention, offended him a bit since he felt like he was laughable at that very moment.
Julia cleared her throat, composing herself as she arched a brow at the male in front of her. “So . . . you want me to become your . . .” she cleared her throat one more time, “. . . girlfriend?”
“I get whatever I want. And right now, I want you,” he seemed so determined to make her say yes.
So how ever did we arrive to that point? Let's take it from the start, alright?
“Oh my gosh, look! Dennis is gonna say his first words!”
HOLD UP. Okay, not that start. While fixing some issues with the flashback, let me narrate a few things first.
Dennis. An eleventh grade student. Your typical good-looking male protagonist, definitely worthy to be an ideal type. A fuckboy? Nah. A playboy? Bingo. Is he the only playboy around? Of course not.
Now that our flashback's all set up, let's go ahead, shall we? Let's crank this up exactly nine weeks ago.
MAY (Summer)
Andrei hit Sean's head, causing Sean to groan. “Ouch—hey!” Sean tried to pull Andrei to get some revenge, but failed once Andrei swiftly speed-walked away.
Sean badly wanted to catch him not till Dennis positioned between them, giving Sean an arched eyebrow. “This is unfair!” Sean whined like a child.
“Why would you even tell me to stay away from your sister? You know I'd never do that,” Andrei rolled his eyes.
Sean felt uneasy, not knowing what reply he should give Andrei. “Just stay away from her! I don't like the idea of you being close to her.”
“Well if you didn't like the idea of us being close, you could've told me that ten years ago,” Andrei chuckled.
The boys and the girls decided to reunite after realising that it's already been ten years since they all met. “Drei does have a point, though,” Dennis commented, tucking his hands in his pockets. “And why on Earth would you forbid Andrei to contact her? Dude, they're best friends.”
Sean felt helpless. He simply crossed his arms as he distanced himself from the two, instantly glaring at them. “Whatever, don't listen to me. But I'm warning you, Andrei,” Sean pointed at him. “Stay away from my sister.”
The two found it somewhat peculiar on how Sean was being this overprotective twin brother all of the sudden. Maxene (his fraternal twin sister) and him were never really affectionate with each other. And besides, Sean never really cared if Maxene and Andrei were together.
Dennis and Andrei looked at each other for a moment. “Do you know anything about this?” Andrei mouthed. Dennis shook his head, shrugging at Andrei.
All of the sudden, Dennis received a call. He shushed the two, clearing his throat before he answered the call. “Yes, hello babe?”
“Where the fuck are you?”
“Babe . . . I told you, I'm with the guys,” Dennis explained. He heard a long exasperated smile from the other line. He already knows what's up.
