The next couple of weeks flew by fast enough. (F/N) recovered and was let out of hospital without incident; she soon learnt her mother and brother had both been arrested after reports from both Lukas and Matthias. She was questioned a little bit by the police about the sensitive subject and they soon left with enough evidence to lock them away. (F/N) felt safe knowing both of them were behind bars and now that she could stay with Lukas, she felt even more safe.

She'd been greeted and welcomed home warmly. Home. She liked the word and could now proudly smile at the photo of her father and tell him she'd done it; she'd found a place to call home and people to call her family. They accepted her. After a few more nights living and sleeping under their roof, she felt comfortable and was used to the antics of all five of them to not act as she had before; cowardly like a small chick and, what she thought to be, quite ungrateful, though Lukas said otherwise.

"If we thought you were being ungrateful, we wouldn't have let you stay for long." He'd reassured her, yet still she felt she owed more than what her life was worth to them all, especially Lukas.

After about the third week, she secured a job she could so well and was also managing to learn more things. (F/N) was able to gain back what education she'd lost when she was locked away to go without it. Yet again, Lukas had been a big help there too, she couldn't thank him enough.

Along the way, Lukas reminded her that he was a personification of a country, as were the rest of his brothers, and that they'd live on a lot longer than (F/N) would, something he hadn't mentioned before. All she knew was that they were countries. She took it fairly well and understood one day she'd grow old while they lived on, or at least that's what she thought; she didn't need to know the spell Lukas cast on her (F/D) once. He found it quite heartwarming how worried she was about him being sad once she was gone, and he would be. He couldn't stand to lose her after she'd been on Death's door many times before, casting that spell was both necessary and compulsory.

One thing that was still bothering (F/N) was her own feelings. That was, her feelings for Lukas. She understood she loved him, but she didn't know whether he'd return her feelings and was too afraid to find out. Sometimes she think up scenarios like what if he would forget her when she died? What if she was just a little spec on his wide and colourful canvas of a life that blended in with the rest of the much brighter colours, to be forgotten and unseen as if it was never there at all? Did that time at the hospital mean nothing or did it mean something?

She had no clue.

One night she was sat by the fireplace, gazing into the crackling orange flames as they danced wildly. It was starting to get darker as it became later and the fire cast an orange glow around the room she was sat in.

"(F/N)?" She heard the soft voice of Lukas from the side of her and she turned her head to greet him with a faint smile.

"Hey Lukas." She tried to make her voice sound upbeat but with all the thoughts cluttering her mind, her voice jammed in her throat and all she could manage was a small greeting. He sat beside her, close enough so that their arms was touching and (F/N) felt her heartbeat increase. A silence fell over the two of them, it was t uncomfortable, quite the opposite actually. (F/N) felt that any minute she could just slowly let her head rest on Lukas's shoulder and drift off into a peaceful sleep, but of course that'd be strange to suddenly do that. The silence was nice, but she felt she had to break it with a question she was dying to ask him. She released a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding and turned to face him with a straight-faced look, if not a slight frown.

"Lukas, will you forget me when I die?" She blurted out, deciding whether or not to regret it as she waited for the confused man sat next to her to give her an answer. Though the confusion was instantly passed onto her instead when she heard him let out a small laugh.

"I'll never forget you (F/N)." He told her while looking her straight in the eye making (F/N)'s face go slightly pink. Though what he said relieved her somewhat, she still had some lingering doubt.

"It's just—" she twiddled her fingers nervously, "—you'll meet other women, your life will be longer than mine, I..." She felt her voice grow quieter and quieter and she instantly wanted to take back what she'd said. She was being selfish; Lukas should forget about her when she dies and should move onto loving someone else. He shouldn't remain sad over (F/N) in his long life, it was selfish of (F/N) to wish he would remember her; it would only make him sad after all.

"You're cute when you're jealous (F/N) but," lightly smiling a smile that Matthias had told (F/N) only she could make Lukas do, he pulled her closer until her head was gently lying on his shoulder the two were cuddled up right in front of the fire place, just like (F/N) had imagined, "you're the person I want to spend the rest of my life with." He finished.

"N-No forget what I-I said!" (F/N) barely was able to stutter out those words as she began to succumb to the warmth of both the fireplace and Lukas. "Y-You should forget about me, your l-life is long and you shouldn't stay sad over me, p-please!" (F/N) almost felt tears in her eyes, but she held them back. The thought of him being sad over her was too much to bare, she didn't want that. A hand patted her head and ruffled her hair; Lukas was being rather affectionate tonight.

"It's fine." He simply said and for some reason, it was enough for (F/N) to stop worrying instantly despite there being no reason to stop; that was until Lukas continued to speak. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I made you like us too." (F/N) froze slightly.

"W-What do you mean?" She hesitantly asked.

"You aren't a country, but you can live forever like us." He explained to her. "But like I said, you're the person I want to spend my life with (F/N)." He said with such a seriousness in his deep blue eyes (F/N) couldn't help but blush. Now she couldn't hold back the tears filling her eyes, although this time they were tears of happiness. She buried her face into Lukas's chest and hugged him tightly, feeling a tear run down her face.

"(F/N)?" He wrapped an arm lightly around her. "You're not upset are you?" His expression looked slightly crestfallen so (F/N) gave him the widest smile she could manage; her tears of happiness wouldn't stop slowly gathering at the edges of her eyes and trickling down her red cheeks. She shook her head.

"No, no, I'm just so happy.." She almost whispered. "I get to spend an eternity with you, it's more than I could ever ask for, when here I thought I was being annoying by freeloading here." She grinned.

"Just you staying here is enough payment for you to stay (F/N), don't worry." Lukas hugged her tightly before letting go and yet again looking deep into her (E/C) eyes with his deep, ocean blue eyes. "So, (F/N), will you be mine?" He asked holding both (F/N)'s hands.

(F/N) was dazzled and far beyond happy, she was happier than she'd ever felt. After everything that had happened, to find such a happiness like what she had here was a blessing and she could only hope her father was watching down and was happy for her too. She gazed at Lukas. Once again, with his eyes so sincere, his light blonde hair illuminated by the deep orange glow from the side of him, (F/N) yet again couldn't picture him as angelic as as the other times he'd saved her. He was saving her now; he was her angel as she was his.

"Yes."

And then cheese rained down from the sky cause boy is everything I write cheesy
I feel like Norway is the type of person to grow softer to a person he likes so I kinda wrote it around that
Mostly I write just randomly and develop the first good idea that comes into my head, and that turned into this
Thanks for sticking with me on yet another story, I hope you enjoyed it!
