Thank you, 'Santa'

Closing the cupboards where you stored the herbs in jars, you scratched your head tiredly and walked back up the stairs to your room.

“Sigh. It feels really empty here. Everyone is like gone on Christmas Eve!” You thought dumbly.

Without much to think about, you finished wrapping the last of the presents and stored them in the scroll again. All you have to do is wait for midnight.

[Time Skip brought to you by Tobi, the good boy]

You were glad to have all of the members today in the base. Luckily, they already finished their missions and such for the week.

There wasn’t much going on when everyone came back, but they were all excited for Christmas tomorrow, especially Tobi. He was, let’s say, so hyper that Deidara and Sasori had to lock him somewhere and duct taped him where he would ‘shut up.’

After everyone settled in bed, you walked out in the middle of the night and noticed no one out. Smirking, you brought out all of the gifts and placed them under the tree, in which Zetsu got from somewhere. It was quite withered, though, but with decorations from some people, it was quite a unique sight.

Slipping away after your job was done, you slept, waiting for the next morning.

[Another Time Skip :D]

“Oh my God! Deidara-senpai! You have to take a look at this! PRESENTS!”

“Ugh, Tobi, shut the heck up! Un. As if there would be any presents, considering how Santa won’t be giving presents to good boys this year. Un.”

“But there are!”

“Yo, DUDES, what is with all the noise? I’m trying to do my ritual!”

“Geez, Hidan, a ritual in the MORNING!?”

“Oh, shut up, Kakuzu, you old hag.”

“Guys, shut up and let’s thank whoever gave us these gifts. So who is it?” Pein’s question was left hanging in the air. No one said a thing, but waited for the ‘Santa’ to confess.

You were currently feeling really tired for some reason and snuggled into your bed. That’ll explain your presence not available downstairs at the moment.

Meanwhile, as everyone found their gifts and opened them, some were ecstatic, overly hyper, or even drunk off their excitement.

Everyone was so happy and oblivious to realize that you were missing your gift, but Deidara.

“Huh? Oi, where’s [name]’s gift? Un.” The blonde blinked in confusion and tried to look around for any box or object wrapped up with your name on it, but there was none. Nobody took more than one gift, so your’s was missing?

Or perhaps you were the one..?

After hearing Deidara’s statement, everyone else began to stop and try to see if your gift was left somewhere in the corner. Having found none, all of the members decided to ask you by knocking on your door.

Hearing a knock banging on your door, you blinked and yawned lazily.

Pulling the covers off and opening the door, you met the many faces of the Akatsuki members with a bewildered face on theirs. Although you thought you were in trouble for something, so you had a scared look on yours, which added to the confusion in everyone’s eyes.

“[name].” Pein started

“Hai, Leader-sama? Did I do something wrong?” You asked nervously.

“No, but … “ He trailed off, with a slight blush on his face. You blinked.

“Thanks for the candy, [name]-chan!” Tobi bursted in wildly. He giggled at your scared face when he came through.

You saw a hand yank the lollipop’s collar back, which revealed a blushing Deidara, scolding the boy angrily. After he was done, he looked at your eyes and thanked you with a red face.

Sasori was grateful to you getting him new tools, but he said it with such a straight face that you couldn’t tell if he was only saying the line without thought. Itachi had an intense face as he was shocked to find the dangos that he always wanted to taste, or so he says. Kakuzu commented that you should have put more money, to which you face palmed. Hidan was actually ‘happy’ that you got him a rosary of Jashin, that he said you should convert to Jashinism, to which you declined politely. Kisame and Zetsu were trying to make out with their gifts, which made everyone tell them to get a room. Pein tried on his earrings, and was glad to see them fit well. Konan was just as pleased to find the paper to be of a fine material.

In conclusion, everyone was happy to get their gifts, but they all thought.

“But [name]-chan, don’t you have a gift? Un.” Deidara asked, uncertainly. You weren’t one to really receive gifts from others, so you brushed it away.

“It’s fine. I didn’t expect to get anything from you guys, so it’s okay.” You answered carefreely.

“Well, I planned on making you something, but Tobi destroyed it yesterday,” Deidara glared daggers sharply at Tobi. “so I can’t give it to you.” he finished sadly.

“It’s totally okay! I’m just content that all of my friends are content with their gifts.” You added with a chirpy face.

And so the Akatsuki spends their Christmas with joys and laughter, as cliche as it sounds.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
