Laughter bounced off the walls of the entire hall as we ran down the stairs. The sun peaking through the light curtains that were hanging in front of the enormous windows.

"Stop! I'm out of breath. I need a break," I squeaked, holding my belly and bending forward.

"Please," I plead, shutting my eyes.

"Alright, alright. I'll get you something to drink," the stranger said, continuing his run down the hall.

"No, don't leave. Just give me a minute. I'll be fine," I say, catching my breath.

"I'll have to leave either way, you know that," he says, smiling down at me.

"But when will I see you again? Will I even ever see you again?" I asked, panic clear in my voice, already missing the boy with the hazel eyes and long lashes. The stranger, who felt so familiar.

And before I knew, he was gone and I was left standing there, fussed and out of breath.
