Three years later... (Present Day)

Birds chirped, the wind whispered, and sounds of children playing happily nearby filled my ears. I shifted on the park bench so my head rested on his shoulder. He smiled before wrapping his arm around me,

"I can't believe it's been three years since Ollie was adopted by the Tomlinsons."

"I can't either," I sighed, "So much has changed since then."

"I know," He mused, "Ollie is almost ten, Zayn left the band, Louis had a kid, and now we've all just headed our own ways."

"It's kind of crazy how fast things change," I whispered, thinking of all the times I had spent with the five boys.

"Change isn't always a bad thing, you know," He murmured before kissing my forehead. A family of ducks in the nearby pond swam past us.

"I suppose it's not."

"Some change is good, you know?" He said nervously. I glanced up at him, my eyebrows furrowing as I took in the anxious look on his face.

"What are you-" He cut me off before I could finish,

"Change can bring really wonderful things. Like you and me," He removed his arm from my shoulder and stood up, digging in his pocket before getting on one knee. My eyes widened as I realized what was happening.

"Anna Lee, I've loved you since the moment you stepped in the door four years ago. I know you don't like change, but I think this could be one of those good changes." Tears dripped down my cheeks as he continued, "We've been through so much change together, and we'll go through so much more, but I want us to be constant because I'm in love with you. Will you marry me?" His bright eyes shone up at me as he smiled. I couldn't wait any longer, I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck before pressing my lips to his. Pulling away, I smiled,

"Of course I'll marry you." He took the ring out of the box and slipped it on my finger. I admired the ring on my finger and smiled up at him as he intertwined our hands.

"Anna Lee! Anna Lee!" A voice shouted. We both turned around to see Ollie hurtling from the playground towards us. Finally approaching the bench, he held out his coat, "Will you hold this? I don't want it to get lost while we play football." Not waiting for an answer, he threw the coat in my arms and was gone as quick as he came. I rolled my eyes but I couldn't help but smile. The blue-eyed man next to me chuckled at my expression,

"There are some things that will never change." He wrapped his arms around me and I beamed at him,

"I love you, Niall."

"I love you too Anna Lee."
