Emily's POV
It's my first day, back at Madrid training. It's Tuesday and we have a game for the champions league tomorrow. My head is spinning like a tornado. What if my team mates treat me differently. Of course I'm going to get some hate, I understand. We had a champions league game against Atletico de Madrid. It was a hard one. I arrived at the Stadium, and the press was hovering over me. As if they were an army.
I entered the stadium and everyone's skulls turned to me. I made an awkward wave and walked over to Gareth who was practicing shots.
"Hey!" He greeted. I greeted him back and looked around the Bernabéu.
"So, you're ready to be officially part of the Madrid team?" He asked me, I nodded.
"It's great...just have to get used to not having my father and my brother around..." I muttered the last part.
"Well-" Gareth got cut off as Zinedine called me. I ran to him and started to speak.
"Well, nice to you see here. Uh, I need you to practice extra hard because you'll be playing striker. Both Benzema and Morata are injured, and you're going to replace them." He spoke. I nodded, as I knew this was going to be a task.
Lately, I haven't been feeling good. I get head aches and bad stomach aches. But I ignore them hoping they would go away.
I ran back to Gareth who was still training, I glanced over at Cristiano who was looking at my direction.
I tried to not make eye contact but we did make contact a few times to be exact. I tried to ignore him but it was pretty hard considering he was in fact still my teammate and my ex.
"I can't help but see the tension." Gareth spoke in a low tone so no one else would hear.
"Me to." I breathed, as I maintained my cool. I ran around training with Gareth. We shared a few laughs, as he continued to play around with me. I missed this, it was something I never had in Barcelona. Sure I shared a few laughs but I never had 'real' fun.
"Hey bud!" I heard Cristiano say from a few feet away. I rolled my eyes as I knew this was his form of getting attention.
I walked away, over to Modrić. He was practicing I greeted him and he greeted back.
"Modrić, Modrić, m-o-d-r-i-ć, modrić, Luka Modrić, Lukaaaaaaa Modriććć." I sounded out, for some reason I loved saying his name out loud.
"What are you doing?" He laughed.
"I like saying your name out loud, it gives me satisfaction...it's weird I don't even know why." I explained as he laughed.Gareth walked over back to me,
"Okay, let's not play dumb here. We all know Cristiano is still in love with you, but I didn't know exactly what was going on between You and That Neymar fellow." He raised me an eyebrow as he expected an answer.
"okay, Neymar and I are dating. He asked me a few weeks ago. I said yes, I mean he's cute. But it's because he was being sweet." I defended. I certainly didn't feel comfortable giving out my love life.
He hummed in satisfaction.
"And Cristiano also told me you guys did it a few times." He winked. That fucking asshole."Okay, but it was a mistake like it was in the heat of the moment." I cleared my throat as it was getting a bit uncomfortable.
"But it was before I dated Neymar." I added, maybe he thought I cheated on him, which I didn't. I couldn't.
"Hm, good. I mean, like I dislike Neymar aswell but that would've been a bit ironic." He muttered the last part.
