New Beginnings

It is Liz's 7th day birthday. That's when they would release the baby into the River and take a journey back to Earth. To celebrate her new journey, Betty decides to hold a party. "Hi'yall thanks for coming,"she said. "I would like you all to take a moment and think about Liz." Everyone sat and began to think about her. The things that they did together, her accomplishments, and her failures.

"Where's Liz," whines Owen. "Liz is going on a little trip," replies Emily. "B-but will she come back." Owen begins to cry. Emily reaches his hand and wipes his eyes. "Do not worry Owen, you will see her again soon." "Really," winces Owen . "Yes Owen, yes," replies Emily with a hopeful voice.

"Oh my where did Thandi go," shrieks Shelly. "Oh my," says Betty. "Everybody search for Thandi!" "I will stay with Liz to make sure she doesn't wander off," said Aldous. They begin to search the bathroom, the living room then the bedroom. Suddenly Curtis begins to chuckle. "Hmm guess who has been trying out clothes." "Thandi," everyone screams. "You are all correct," Curtis says as he was handing the baby to Shelly. "Oh Thandi," laughs Shelly. "Ok everyone off to the River," Betty commands.

Everyone drives down to the River where Liz was expected to take a journey back to Earth. Liz begins to think about everything about her life. Her family, Betty, Thandi, and Owen. A shiver of fear pops up and now she is having this scary feeling of being forgotten. She soon realizes that she is the one that will forget everyone.

Why? she wonders. Why must i forget these wonderful, amazing people? "I will miss you dearly Liz," Betty says as she starts to cry. "I will never forget you." Betty then kneels down and gently releases her.

As Liz begins her journey, she starts to think about her life before she forgets everything. She remembers her friend Zoey, her parents, Alvey, Betty and Owen, her Owen. She will never forget the first time they met. Trying to communicate from the well was hard enough. She gazes at the view. Gosh what a beautiful view, why are the babies sleeping right now, she wonders. I wonder if I will be able to meet everyone back on Earth she thinks. She turns her head from side to side until she begins to drift away. She dreams that she is with Owen, and they are hanging out. She then sees a portal and goes through it.

When her journey finally finishes, she meets her new parents. "Oh my what do we have here," says her new dad. "We have a beautiful little angel Mike," replies her new mom. "What do you want name her Diana," Mike asks. "Hmm how about Samantha," Diana replies. "I have always wanted to name my child Samantha."

Samantha has a pleasant childhood. Her parents were somewhat overprotective, but Samantha didn't care. She made lots of friends and is one of the most popular girl at school. Her life was decent. Samantha certainly doesn't have any enemies as well. Yep, her life is decent. Sometimes she get dreams in which it mentioned about her past life being Liz and all. Samantha once met a couple who knew a girl named Liz.

One day after her Sweet 16th birthday party, she saw a strange portal. What is that, she wondered. She decides to go through even though it meant she might not be able to come back ever.

"Hello Samantha," some lady says as she approaches her. She looked like she was a couple years older than her. She has brown hair and is pretty tall. "You might not remember me, but I know you." "What are you talking about," Samantha stumbles. "I have never seen you in my life." "That is the point Samantha," the lady replied. "I am Betty Bloom and I used to be your grandma in your past life."

Samantha couldn't believe her ears. I had a past life,she asks herself. "I know what you are think Liz," Betty says. "Liz?,"questions Samantha. "Yes Samantha your name was Liz before you got reincarnated," Betty explains.

She tells Samantha everything from when Liz died in a bike accident to when she left the town known as Elsewhere. "Tell me Betty, how do you return to Earth," Samantha asked. "Well Samantha you would age backwards until you were 7 days old. That's when you will be released to the River and start your journey back to Earth," Betty explained. " You were dating a guy named Owen, and when you were released he jumped in the river. He might be your age, but it's not sure."

"I want to meet him," Samantha begins to plead. "Well then if you want to meet him, then you might need this," Betty said as she hands her one of those tracking watches. "When the times is right, your journey will begin, and his will too." Samantha thanks Betty and returns home. She thought about this Owen kid everyday. She couldn't wait till it began.

hey guys! I read this book for core and and we had an assignment.
