Holding On

Chapter 12- Mission (Part 2/3) I Need You

     We were now scanning around the village for any rogue ninjas and we were in partners. I guess you can count Sai out since he's on his bird. I was tuck with duck ass over here. As I turned to face down a fist made its way to punch my jaw but I moved my head back avoiding it. Taking another look around I noticed we were surrounded.

     Half and half. Sasuke fought a half of the ninjas as I fought the other. As skidded back from an   impact I found myself at the edge of a cliff. They charged at me as I my eyes widened feeling my ankle being gripped on by a hand. I stopped on the hand as I got punched in the stomach and a kunai scraped my stomach making me deep gash. I cried get at the pain as I coughed some blood now trying to keep myself from falling.

     I concentrated chakra avoiding hits and in a swirl of cherry blossoms I appeared back in the middle of the battle ground. They glared at me as they charged at me one by one. I punched them as they would fly back or block them trying to find an opening. I glanced at Sasuke's direction. He was doing well but I saw some bruises and cuts.

     I faced my enemies and dodged a sword now deflecting it with mine. I turned around stabbing one as he was about to stab me with a kunai. Retrieving my blade I felt a sharp pain go through my back as I felt liquid leak down my back and dripping on the floor. It was blood. Turning to punch the person I got cuts on my legs now limping in pain.

     I healed myself punching them as they would charge at me. I soon found myself heading back towards the cliff. I tried my best to make myself go back to the middle I was at the edge again. This time two pair of hands grabbed my legs and ankle pulling me down as I grabbed the edge holding on. I looked down as they scraped my ankle and leg as I tried to hold in the agonizing pain.

     I then felt a kunai go through my back as I coughed blood feeling my arms go weak. My hands now slipping I dug my nails into the dirt now holding myself even more. I got punched in the jaw making me hang on one hand. I tried to hold back the pain and screams that were trying to escape my mouth. The taste of blood now entering my mouth. Then one rogue ninja stepped on my hand making me whimper and let go as I fell down to a river.

     My vision now going blurry. "SAKURA!" Sasuke yelled. Wanting to yell his name I couldn't. His arms wrapped around my torso as he pressed my body onto his. Blood spilled out my mouth staining his shirt and streaming down my face. He stopped our fall by pressing his sword into the cliff.

     "Here yourself with my chakra" he instructed. I nodded, as I felt chakra now flow through my veins as I began to glow green and my injuries now healing. I  coughed blood as I began to heal my gash on my stomach. It was certain to leave a scar for a month or two. "How did you get so much injuries when you're supposed to be strong?" he asked under his breath.

     I shrugged as I saw the remaining ninja fall down. I looked up seeing a grinning Naruto. "DON'T WORRY GUYS KAKASHI- SENSEI AND I GOT THEM!" he yelled. We breathed a sigh of relief when I felt my self now fall off of Sasuke's grip and fall. Everything stopped as Sasuke fell aswell. "SAKURA!" "SASUKE!" we yelled.

     Before we could grip each others hand ninjas tackled us now taking Sasuke into the dangerous current of the river and meto the shore. I coughed as the dust cleared out. I fought he rogue ninjas then faced the river seeing Sasuke fight them. I didn't notice two ninjas still alive as a sword pierced my back and ankle making me fall on my knees. Another pierced my upper back and shoulder.

     Another appeared in front of me kneeing me in the face as blood splattered onto the ground. I coughed as I tried getting up. Starting to punch them I knocked them out. Checking on Sasuke I saw he was struggling with one enemy now diving under water. The vision of them now had vanished.
Sasuke's POV
    I swam under water looking for my enemy. Someone had tackled me under water now making me loose my air. I punched him grabbing my Katana giving him a gash on his face. He kneed me in the gut making me cough some blood. Flipping us over so I was on top I punched him repeatedly and kicking him.

     He scratched me with a kunai as I cried get at the pain in my chest. Making a final blow he pierced the kunai into my chest as I did the same with my sword. I took my last breath as did he then I saw red surrounding me. Then everything went black.
Sakura's POV
     I watched patiently waiting for my teammate to rise up again. The next thing I know red blanketed the water. My heart race picked up as I screamed his name now jumping in the water. I looked around then found a figure. Going towards it I saw him.

     Wrapping an arm around his back I used my other to swim towards shore. I gasped for air as I layed him on the dirt. I put my head onto his chest to check his heart beat. It was faint. My race picked up more as I began  to perform CPR.

     This went on for a while as I then felt water come from his mouth and him coughing. He stared pale at me. I felt tears well up as I smirked. He did so to. Catching me in his arms I fainted.
