Sam nearly fell asleep when he heard the sound of Castiel's wings entering the room. This startled him and he sat up. Noticing it was really Castiel, Sam couldn't help but smile. Castiel returned the smile wholeheartedly and he laid next to Sam on the bed.
"Where's Lucifer?" Sam's words spilled out of his mouth. Castiel hesitated for a response but gained confidence.
"He's still here but under my monitoring. Don't worry baby." He whispered kissing his head.
"Okay." Sam whispered back. It sent a chill down their spines and Sam moved Castiel's arm so he could disappear into his clothes. He smelled clean sweet. You could swear you were at a bee farm where the honey is collected from smelling his coat.
"You know, he'll be gone soon. We'll be okay." Castiel said soothingly making Sam fall asleep. Castiel could feel his breath seeping through his shirt and he kissed Sammy's head once more. He hummed a little bit of Enochian lullabies he heard when he was younger to pass the time. Eventually, Castiel somehow manage to doze off.
What he didn't know was Lucifer was just getting started.

Lucifer left Castiel and entered Sam without being detectable. Then, he took full control over the strings that Sam controlled. It was perfection. He slowly snuck you of the bed and snuck out of the bunker with a happy smile.
"This is going to be too much fun." He knocked on his skull.

The next morning Castiel woke up confused. He laid a hand where Sam's body was laying last night. He could feel where he was but, didn't know where he went so he slid off the bed and opened the door into the living room. The smell of grease and eggs interrupted Castiel's search and he went into the kitten to find Dean cooking.
"Have you seen Sam?" He asked startling Dean who spun around almost chucking a knife at Castiel.
"Jeez Cass, you need a bell or somet-you're back?" Dean got distracted for a minute.
"Yes. Now, have you seen your brother?" Castiel asked again.
"Why don't you use Lucifer?" He asked rolling his eyes.
"He isn't here," He pointed to his mind, "dead silence." This caught Dean's attention.
     "What?" He almost yelled.
"He's not in here." Castiel shortened it up. Dean turned away and pulled out his phone. He dialed the number and waited for a response. It rang for what felt like forever when Sam's voice answered.
But it wasn't really Sam's voice.
"Dean." Lucifer said with a cocky voice. Dean didn't reply he just let his phone slip when Castiel caught it and put his ear to the microphone.
     "Sam???" He asked into it.
     "Try again brother." It mocked.
"Lucifer. Give. Him. Back." He answered hatefully. There was an unsettling silence.
"I. Don't. Think. So. You see, me and him are having a hell of a time!" Lucifer laughed mockingly at Castiel. Castiel's grip on the phone was a death grip.
"You better not hurt him!" He exclaimed.
"I love your enthusiasm Cass. I really do. Goodbye!" He sang as he hung up.
"You're going to South Dakota." Dean said.
     "On it." Castiel replied.
     "One more thing?" He asked.
     "What?" Castiel responded.
"Bring him back safe." He suggested.
"Promise." Castiel answered as he left.
