I bit my quivering lip and looked up at him. I saw pain in his eyes. He lowered my hands and cupped my face as he wiped my tears away with his thumbs. "I don't want to say goodbye," I whispered in between sobs. "Then don't," he replied calmly. "It's not goodbye, it's 'see you later,' 'di ba?"
He shook his head and flashed me a warm smile. "No," he said, as he reached into his pocket. Before I could even anticipate what was about to happen, he got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?"
