Elise wakes up at the edge of her neighbors pool with no memory of the night before.
Don't threaten me with a good time will tell the story of Elise's night from the beginning and to her waking up the next morning. And who knows maybe even what hap...
My head throbs and my throat is dry as sandpaper when I wake up. I'm lying on my stomach and my cheek is resting on something smooth and cold. I can feel the sun on my body and slowly I try to blink my eyes open. The suns glaring light makes my head throb even more, but I still open my eyes so I can make out my surroundings. The first thing I see, is water. I let my eyes follow the gentle movements in the water made by the breeze till it hits a wall made of tiles. It's a pool. I'm lying at the edge of a pool. I move my hands up to rest under my shoulders and try to push myself up to a sitting position. The small movement makes me groan and nauseate, but I manage to get myself up on my knees. Looking around I get a better view of my surroundings. The pool is located in the backyard of a very fancy house with white walls and a roof made of black tiles. Looking down I see the tiles my cheek had been resting on marked by a small puddle of drool. I quickly wipes my mouth to remove the remaining evidence of my sleep . Noticing that my legs are bare except from the black heels I'm wearing, I make a quick scan of my body. I'm wearing nothing but my underwear and the heels.
"This is just great" I say to myself and throw my arms up in the air before letting them fall heavily down again. Surrounding the backyard and the house is a fence. Above I see the apartment building. And not just any apartment building, my apartment building. I heave a sigh of relief. At least I will be able to find my way home. With renewed strength and hope, I try to stand. Before I even get half way up, I lose my balance. All I manage to think before I fall is Fuck. I see the cloudless sky before my back hits the water and surrounds me. Well, at least I'm awake now. When my feet hit the bottom I push myself back up to the surface. Breaking through the surface of the cold water, I draw in a breath and starts laughing. Not that there are anything funny about the situation I gotten myself into. It's more like a WTF is happening kind of laugh. What stops my laugh, is when I swallow some water and have to cough instead. Getting hold of myself I start to swim for the edge of the pool. Pulling myself up and sitting hugging my knees against my chest, I realize, I have no idea, how I have ended up at the edge of my neighbors pool.
"What happened last night?" I ask myself quietly.
