That Evening

It was a dark evening near Baker Street, the roads were damp and the air had a mild fog applied to it. Every few seconds Sherlock would check behind him as if someone was following them home. He and John had just finished a case in North London, where a man had stopped all of London's transportation.  John was walking casually by his side, when they heard a noise that prompted Sherlock to stop in a defensive stature.

"Sherlock, did you hear that?" Asked John, hastily.

"John, of course I heard that! Someone has been following us all night and you haven't even noticed."

John looked stunned, as he stood upright, looking in all directions for the mysterious figure that'd been following them.

Nothing appeared except for the occasional black cat that would roam from doorstep to doorstep look for tonight's home.

"You know Sherlock, maybe it was just that black cat." Said John, goofily, as they continued walking towards Baker Street.

Sherlock didn't even take the joke to notice as he continued to look behind him every few seconds, "That's not even funny John, there's obviously someone following us."

"Right, and there's also a full moon tonight." Stated John as he pointed to the moon above.

Sherlock stopped and rolled his eyes at John, as his shoulders fell, "John...there may be a full moon tonight but to be quite certain the moon does nothing to an animal's behavior it's just there. Whatever happens to someone the night of a full moon is just pure coincidence. But there is someone following us, and you are lucky that we are almost back to Baker Street or in the next hour we could be dead."

John smirked and continued walking, "I cannot wait until London's transportation is up and running so I don't have to walk home with you freaking out over a black cat."

As they neared their doorstep on Baker Street, Sherlock quickly leapt for the doorknob and hurried John inside, looking around for the mysterious man that had been following them that evening.
