When I woke up the next morning, Brad was still in her room with the door closed. I lightly knocked and pushed the door open. She was dancing in front of her mirror singing along to Paramore.

"...I'm not one of those crazy girls, I'm not one of those crazy girls!" she screamed. I stood in her doorway watching her until she tripped over a stool and fell backwards on to her carpet. I almost died laughing as her tumble didn't falter her singing or dancing. She was still yelling into her hairbrush kicking her feet in the air. I jumped into the middle of the floor and sang the verse with her.

"Hey baby are we really over now? Maybe I can change your mind?"

She screamed and threw her brush across the room. It bounce off the wall and fell into the trash can. We broke into a fit of laughter and Brad continued to roll on the floor. When we both had calmed down, I laid on the floor next to her so we were facing each other.

"Are you ok now?" I asked her. Her eyes softened a bit but she was still smiling.

"Yes," she answered.

I jumped up grabbing her hand,"Good get dressed cuz we're going to the mall!" I said running out before she could say no.

BRAD'S POV

As we walked through the mall, I clung to my purse tightly not want it to touch anyone. CJ ended up taking me to the mall and it was especially crowded today. I was getting a bit anxious and i know CJ was antsy too. We had only been to a few stores and I was already ready to go, but I didn't want to cut CJ's fun short just because of a little anxiety. We decided to go into a record shop because its never crowded. We quietly walked through the aisles going through the hundreds and hundreds of records. I pulled out the Arctic Monkeys "AM" album and ran to CJ.

"CJ CJ CJ CJ they have it!" I yelled running from the other side of the store. When I got to her, I basically threw the record at her waiting for her reaction. Instead of the happy expression I was expecting, she frowned.

"Uh Brad? Look at the price," she said. I took the record back and $89.99 was printed on the price tag on the back.

"Dammit." When the Arctic Monkeys announced that they were going back on tour, the price of their records shot up and people still bought them. Every time CJ and I went to look for it there were never any left on the shelves. I trudged back to the rack and put the record back.

"Brad!" I heard someone call from behind me. I turned around expecting to see CJ but when there was no one there I shrugged it off and thought I was jut hearing things.

We walked across the hall to Auntie Anne's and grabbed some pretzels. When we sat down, CJ pulled out her phone. I silently ate my pretzel watching the people passing while CJ typed away at her phone. I turned my head towards her and she sat smiling at me.

"What?" I asked and she continued to grin.

"Oh nothing," she replied. I nodded skeptically and got up to throw away my trash.

"Ok ok ok," she said grabbing my arm and pulling me back down. "Mikey is having this fire pit thing at his mom's house tonight and he said it was gonna be a lot of fun if we came."

"Yea right. You go have fun, I'm going home." I told her as I placed my bag in the trash.

"Brad he invited both of us. If you're not going, I'm not going."

"CJ..."

"Brad please, Calum will be there!"

"Oh really? Well since Calum's gonna be there why wait? Let's just hop in the car and go there right now," I answered sarcastically.

"C'mon Brad, I know this isn't your type of thing but I really wanna hang out with Michael. I starting to like him and I think he likes me, too. Please?"

I took another look at her pleading eyes and finally gave in.

After I agreed to go to the fire pit with CJ, she dragged me home to get ready. I was currently staring at my closet looking for something to wear. Every time I put together an outfit I thought was decent, I decided against it. I ended up putting on leggings and a random shirt I got from Puerto Rico last year.

When I went into CJ's room and she was putting the finishing touches on her make up. She smiled at me through the mirror and put on her jacket.

"You ready?" she asked. I let out a heavy breath and smiled back.

"Yea," I answered.

When we got to Mikeys mom's house we could hear the stop thumping of music as we knocked on the door. Ashton greeted us with a wide smile. He lead us to the backyard where the rest of the guys and a few people we didn't know were gathered around a fire. Michael was softly strumming a guitar while Luke ws singing along. CJ sat down next to Michael and Ashton went around the side of the house to get drinks. I clung to the wall watching everyone as they turned their marshmallows by the fire and laughed.

I found myself staring at Michael and CJ as he sang to her and she smiled like it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. When he strummed his final chords CJ jumped up and started clapping. Michael set down his guitar and picked CJ up bridal style, spinning her around. She began to laugh and yell about getting dizzy and I laughed along with them.

"You want a marshmallow?" I jumped as Calum came up to me.

"Oh, uh, no I'm fine thanks." I told him, smiling.

"Oh c'mon just one! You'll get to sit with us and Mikey will play his guitar, the fire will keep you warm...?"

I blinked awake and wiped the sweat off my forehead. I got out of my bed to change into shorts but I slipped on something wet and fell on my face. I screamed for my mom grabbing my knee. She didn't answer despite my effort to get louder.

I got up and ran down the hall. More and more sweat was dripping down my forehead as I closer to my parents room. I screamed my mom's name with still no answer. Fed up with the lack of attention, I shoved my parents door open and stepped in.

"MOMMY! WHY IS IT SO WARM IN THE HOUSE? I'VE BEEN SCREAMINF RO YOU FOR LIKE AN HOUR!" I yelled to my mom. I was about to jump on her bed when I realized why she wasn't answering. I ran out of my parent's room screaming and crying. I pushed my front door open and ran across the street pounding on the door of the house I grew familiar with.

"Mrs. Bowser! Mrs. Bowser! Theres a fire in my house!"

I ran up the stairs and jumped on my best friend's bed trying to wake her up. "CJ CJ HELP MY MOMMY'S NOT WAKING UP!"

Her mom and dad came bombarding through her room door. I screamed the same thing over and over until they grabbed me and ran into the front yard towards my house. I yelled my parent's names, knowing i wouldn't get an answer. I jumped out of CJ's dad's arms and ran into the middle of the street.

"MOMMY STOP IT ANSWER ME! DADDY WHERE ARE YOU? STOP IT!" I screamed at my house as the previously brown planks turned black and fell.

CJ ran up behind me pulling em out of the street. "Brad thats dangerous you can't stand in the street!"

I grabbed onto her and cried into her shoulder.

"Brad? Earth to Brad? You ok?" Calum chuckled, waving a hand in front of my face.

"Yea im great, sorry." I choked out as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Woah woah are you ok? Why are you crying?!"

I quickly wiped the tear off thinking of a quick cover up. "Yea yea I'm fine it just the smoke getting in my eyes."

"Oh ok you wanna go inside?"

I nodded as Calum led me through the back door and into his living room.
