"Crush and Burn"
Connor, a 15 year old guy who is a sophomore in the high school, Mackintosh. It's a small school of like 200 but it's peaceful. We find Connor in the lunchroom waiting for the bell to ring, so he can get to class, with his friend Chase. As Connor looks around minding his business, he sees Lana arrive into the lunchroom. Connor's chest aches as though someone is pushing down on his chest. The anxiousness rushes down his spine making him nervous to see Lana. Chase looks at Connor staring at Lana from afar and says...
" Yo, you alright? I see you staring down Lana."
" I'm fine and i'm not staring." Connor replies.
" You are." Chase concurs.
" Why don't you ask her to prom, It's coming soon." Chase asks.
" Nah, She's probably already taken, by Francis, and plus she just got here like two weeks ago." Connor answers.
" So, she's not going with anyone and who cares if she's new. Go get her fam." chase explains
" alright, I'll try because you won't get off my back. " Connor whines.
Connor gets up out of his seat he starts to approach Lana, and with each step his heart pounds faster and his chest gets tighter like it's being constructed. When Connor inhales, he tries to call out her name to catch her attention, but is then shoved by a mob students rushing to class. When he pushes his way to Lana's location, he looks and sees, that she's gone. Connor then sighs with annoyance. The school bell rings and Connor walks to class...
As Connor slides through his first two we find Connor in his in his 3rd hour class, the lunch bell rings and gets out of his seat and walks to the lunch. As Conner walks down the stairs, Chase slams his hand on Connor's shoulder, feeling a numb tingling in his shoulder.
" How'd it go." Chase says.
" I didn't ask" Connor admits.
" Why, what happened?" Chase asks.
" A stampede of students trampled over me and when I came back to ask, she wasn't there." Connor explains.
" Ah, man. Well you can ask at lunch at least." Chase says with cheer.
"Yeah." connor agreed.
Connor and Chase arrive the lunchroom. Connor analyzes the lunchroom, secretly looking for Lana. He then spots her in line by her friends Stacy and Gwen. A burning pain appears in his chest. He starts to walk into the ocean of students to attempt to ask Lana to prom. Connor pushes and shoves students out the way, but is then pushed and shoved back. Connor escapes the crowd, and looking for Lana, but is nowhere to be found. Connor starts to get angry, balls up his fist and, struts away furiously. Pushing two kids out of his way in anger...
Connor, finishes eating lunch, and finishes his last class of the day. He packs his stuff into his bag in a hurry. Chase walks up to connor and asks
" Aye bruh, why you in a rush?"
"I'm gonna ask her before she leaves." Connor answers.
" Oh. Go gettum." Chase announces.
Connor zips up his bag, swings it around to his shoulder, and starts to speed walk. He shoots down the stairs shoving all the students in his way. He sees his teacher and slides around him. Then starts speed walking again. He makes it outside and looks for Lana, but she is nowhere to be found. Connor sees Gwen and dashes towards her. Connor asks...
"Gwen, have you seen Lana?"
"Oh she just left like 5 min ago." Gwen replies.
"God, again." Connor complains.
