Happy Birthday, My Love

I woke up to the soft sun shinning into the room through the curtains. It was such a peaceful morning, it almost felt like today was destined to be the best day ever...which I hope it is.

Me and my boyfriend Makoto Tachibana live together in a small apartment not too far from the college we both go to. Today I didn't have any classes but Makoto did, which was perfect. Today is his birthday and I'm planning something only the greatest girlfriend in the world would do.

I looked at the clock that sat on the nightstand near the bed. The red numbers flashed 11:30.

Oh no I'm supposed to meet Haru soon! I thought to myself. I tried to get out of bed but it felt as if something was holding me back. I looked behind my shoulder and saw Makoto with his strong arms wrapped around my waist. This is gonna be a hard one.

After a few minuets I successfully wiggled out of Makoto's grasp without waking him up. I quickly threw on a F/C shirt with some jean shorts. I quickly wrote a note for Makoto and placed it on the  nightstand. I ran out of the apartment quickly since I was already late. I pulled out my phone as I was finally outside and I started my way to Haru's house. I clicked his number and the phone rang. After two times he picked up.

"Your late," He said blankly.

"Yeah sorry, it was a little hard getting out of bed." I replied. He laughed knowing what I meant. "So when I get to your house we need to go to the bakery and then we need to pick up a present so when I get there you better not be in the bathtub!"

"Ok got see you when you get here."

"Bye."

I ended the call as I was just a few blocks away from where Haru lived. This was going to be the best surprise party ever.

Makoto's P.O.V

I woke up to an empty feeling. I opened my eyes to see that Y/N was no longer in my grasp. I sat up trying to think of where she could've gone. I know she doesn't have classes today so what could she be doing? I got out of bed and noticed a piece of paper on the nightstand.

To Makoto,

Good morning darling, I hope classes go well. I had to go do a few things so I'll be back later!

I frowned a little at the note. Did my girlfriend really forget my birthday? I brushed it off as I got ready for classes.

Normal P.O.V

I arrived at Haru's house and surprisingly he was waiting outside fully clothed. That's a first.

"Hey Y/N ready to go?" He asked.

"Yep! I'm super excited!"

As we walked we talked about classes and how were doing. Haru was taking cooking courses while also pursuing his dream of professional swimming. I told him how my (Subject) classes were going. We talked about mine and Makoto's relationship and how it's been amazing ever since we met. Me and Makoto met in high school in our second year. We fell in love but were to shy to confess. Finally, after a long time, his friends convinced him to and we've been together ever since.

Haru and I decided to pick up the present first since the cake would be a little hard to carry around. As we approached the store, my phone started to go off.  We stopped and I pulled my phone out of my pocket to answer it.

"Hello?" I said

"Y/N!!!!!! What time is the party again?" I instantly recognized the loud voice. It belonged to none other than Makoto and mine's friend Nagisa.
