Contemplation

Snow-filled wind howled through the huge trees of snowdin forest, as a lone skeleton was unherriedly trekking through the freshly fallen snow.

Sans the skeleton was walking sluggishly through the vast forest after waking from a dream. It wasn't a nightmare, if it was he would be asleep, he knew how to deal with them. No, this was a dream about Papyrus. This was a dream he was not expecting.

He awoke in a thick layer of sweat, panting for air, the blue magic of his soul starting to manifest under the covers. He knew he shouldn't, no, he couldn't have these feelings for his innocent younger brother, yet he did.

Sans tried to dismiss the thought as he continued to trek through the freezing forest, his soul still glowing brightly through his white tee-shirt. He pulled his worn blue hoodie off his back, and tied it around his waist, the back of the hoodie going lower than his black knee-high shorts he wore almost every day. The faded pink slippers did next to nothing to keep his feet warm, but he didn't care. He just really needed some katchup.

Sans would usually take a short-cut to his sentry station, but he really needed the time and weather to cool down. He chuckled at his pun, and sat on the wooden stool that he had in his station. He reached down to one of the two shelves under the sentry station and took one of his many bottles of his preferred condiment, and took a long sip.

He stayed at his station for a few minutes to let his soul cool off. Once his soul was back to its normal glow, he took a short-cut (ripped a hole through the fabric of reality leading to one point to another) back to his bed, and stared at his ceiling.

Sans had insomnia and depression, so at night he would just stare at the ceiling thinking bad thoughts until he finally fell asleep, with only the sounds of the tread mill (if it was on), and the self-sustaining junk tornado in the corner of his room. Tonight was a rare night when he fell asleep rather quickly, not bothering to take off the hoodie around his waist as he fell into a deep dreamless sleep.

Sans awoke to the sound of the shower being turned on, and his brother humming his theme song (I imagine them being able to hear their themes). Sans groggily rubbed his eyes and stretched, his bones popping in protest. As his tired mind was processing what was happening around him, he stood up, removed his hoodie from his waist, and and tossed it unceremoniously onto the floor.

The more aware of his surroundings Sans became, the more of a good mood he found himself to be in. Welp, better use this to my advantage, Sans mused as he opened his door and stumbled downstairs to the kitchen. He thought that he might as well make something for him and his bro, him being awake and all.

Sans was actually a fairly good cook, his dad having taught him everything he knows. He opened the fridge and scanned for useable items, eggs, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. omelettes it is then, Thought Sans as he used his magic to grab the ingredients and bring them to the counter. Grabbing a pan from underneath the sink, he started to cook.
