"What?" I say in disbelief. My... brother? Lion grabs my hand tightly but I shake him off. This can't be happening!
Then I run.
I run far away from the police station and towards my house, police officers close behind since they don't want me to be stupid. I told October about all of this. The case, the murder, even the ghost. He said I was hallucinating and I shouldn't look into it.
He was just protecting himself.
I run into my house and my mother blocks my way.
"Back so soon? How was the interrogation?" she asks sweetly. As much as I love my mom, now is not the time to talk about child murderers.
"Uh, yeah, do you know where October is?" I ask her without going into my rant about how the police officers didn't handle it well blah blah blah.
"Oh, he's in his room, wh-." Before she can even finish I rush off towards October's room. I bang on the door once before my hands are grasped by a warm and familiar grip.
"Robyn, calm down. It's ok." Lion speaks soothingly and crisply as he holds on to me tight. But he lies. It's NOT ok. October killed someone. Or helped killed. Either way, I don't want anything to do with him. All I want to do right now is get him arrested.
Police officers barge into the room. Nobody. Not even October's dog, Scruffles, is nuzzled up to him as usual. October is... gone.
I went to the interrogation and let him... leave.
I collapse as they push aside his bookshelf, hockey cards, magazines, and electronics. Tears start pouring out as I hold my hands up to my face. "HE'S GONE!" I shout.
Suddenly, I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. Then another, then two more. I open my eyes and see Lion, Fanta, Tanner and Alessiara are on top of me, giving me one big hug.
Even with all of them... I still fall down the slippery slope that is sanity and lie down.

"Hey look, it's Robyn Murdres," a girl shouts. "Heard it runs in the family!" This may seem bad? Not even the worst of it. Ever since October had been outed as a murderer, this has been happening. A month now.
"I heard that prettiness is hereditary too but it seems you didn't get that from your sister so BUZZ OFF," I yell back at her. She cowers away with her gang and runs off. I sigh.
"Hey... how've you been?" Tanner asks as he walks up to me with a soft smile. I grin. Tanner started talking more and even admitted his feelings to Alessiara. She apparently felt the same and covered it up with Tye. They've been together for a while now.
"I could be better," I say simply. He frowns and gives me a side hug.
"I'm sorry for everyone at this school. They judge you for the actions of someone else, don't let them." He gives me a toothy grin. He's been doing that a lot more too. Smiling.
"Lion wanted to talk to you by the way," Tanner says, changing the subject. "Not sure why, but he told me to tell you since you haven't been answering calls. He said meet him outside the forest at 3:15."
The forest. The worst place since my house. Ever since... him... I couldn't stand either of those places. They bring back horrible memories.
"Oh... ok..." I slump to my locker and put my bag in it. Tanner gets the message and walks away to his own locker. As soon as he leaves, Fanta pops up out of nowhere.
