The next morning, I text Isaac as soon as I woke up. I was growing fond of him and wanted to see him. Minutes later, I received a text from a blocked number.
From: Blocked
I'm sorry, babe. Meet me outside The King's Head. XXX
A million thoughts rushed through my mind all at once. I decided to run it by Hayley. Whispering her name, I squeezed Hayley's arm to wake her up. She groaned and sat up in the bed. "Good morning. I just got a text from a blocked number asking me to meet them at the pub."
"Maybe it's Isaac?"
"Why would he block his number?" Hayley shrugged, nodding slightly. Suddenly, a thought sprung to mind. Maybe it was Jesse. "Do you want to go meet this person?" Hayley asked. Hayley had always been a curious girl. She would probably want to go find out who was there. There was a part of me, too, that wanted to go down there.
Hayley agreed to drive me to The King's Head and stay with me. Once we were in the bar, we found a seat and waited. "Hey, girls. Wanna come have a little fun?" A group approached us. "We have boyfriends." Hayley growled as one man slid a hand up her thigh. "Oh. We don't mind that."
"WHY DID YOU COME HERE?" A voice yelled. Isaac. "So it was you?" I stood up to approach him but one of the men grabbed me and sat me back down. My eyes darted to the man, my mouth dropping open. The man ran a finger up my thigh, up my stomach, over my nipple, up my neck and over my lips while whispering "You're gonna be a good little slut. You're mine now." This obviously shocked Hayley as she gasped. My heart began racing, making me breath a little heavier. I was in too much shock to do anything. I could only wait for Isaac. I brought my gaze to meet Isaac's but he was frozen. "So this is your boyfriend, huh?" The over-weight, middle-aged man strolled to Isaac, raising a fist and then hitting him. Isaac fell to the ground. I gasped, jumping out of my seat but another man held me back. I could only watch as Isaac got beaten. "Just gimme a blowie and I'll let you go." The man beating Isaac turned to me. Abruptly, Isaac sprung up, hitting the old man over the head with his fist, knocking him out instantly. I was surprised. I didn't think Isaac had it in him to knock a man out with one hit. Isaac then fought with the other three men, each falling to the ground unconscious either way. "Let's go." Isaac breathed. Hayley decided to go home, leaving Isaac and I to go back to his apartment. While in his car, I decided to ask him what had just happened. "Was that you? The blocked number... was that you?"
"Yes."
"Did you set that whole thing up?"
"No. I only sent the text. I wanted to see if you'd actually be stupid enough to go." My eyes shot up at Isaac. "Sorry. I didn't mean to call you stupid.. I just-"
"It's okay."
We arrived at Isaac's apartment and we hung out and watched movies all day. Isaac then drove me back to my house. My parents were unhappy to say the least. I told them that I'd been hanging out with Hayley and that Isaac was just one of her friends that offered to drive me back home.
