I shivered. The cold , hard bed beneath me. The thin fabric barely covered me. Its winter and I can feel the cold breeze brush against my exposed skin. I opened my frozen eyes and looked out the window across the dark room. A snowstorm was out. Soft flakes hitting the window. Than disappearing. The next one hitting softy. Then the next. The only light was the street lights that shined through, looking like gold diamonds. Harry made me stay at the hotel for tonight. It is highly uncomfortable. He said he had to leave for a bit. But refused to tell me where. It is 3:00 am and I cant sleep. I rolled over and got up to the drawers. I pulled out one of Harry's sweatshirts. I poked my head through the top. I stretched my arms out letting the heavy fabric stop mid- thigh covering the top of my sweat pants. I hugged myself in taking the scent of Harry. His cologne filled my cold nose. I flipped my head over and grabbed my blonde hair. I plopped it into a messy bun, not caring how I looked. It is only 3:00 am. Since I could not sleep , why not make some tea?
I walked into the kitchen. The pads of my feet hitting the cold floor. I walked on my tip toes, Im not wearing socks. My little toes froze numb. I poured hot water into my favorite mug. I slid over to a bottom cabinet and pulled out a tea bag. I dipped the soft ripped up plant into the steamy water. I then poured the milk, white and brown mixed together creating a lighter brown. I put in my sugar, stirred , and walked over to the window. The window had a built in seat. I sat on it, tiny enough to fit, and sipped my tea. I watched the snowflakes crash into one another. They went crazy in the wind. I heard a car door slam. Harry.
Harry's POV
it's 3:15 am. Ashleigh must be asleep. I climbed out of my car and bunched up, not prepare for the cold. The fierce wind blew harshly across my numb face as I walked to my trunk and pulled out my bag of money. Where do I hide this... I'll just decide when I get inside. I opened the door quietly , not wanting to wake Ashleigh. But to my Suprise, there she is. Sitting in the window. "Ashleigh why are you up? It's 3:20 am" I questioned while closing the door. "I couldn't sleep. It's to cold. This hotel sucks." She said before sipping her tea. "Sorry babe. Bad hotel choice , I know. " I said slipping off my coat and shoes. "Why are you here so late?" She asked. Oh god.. "Uhm, just had to work later than usual." I lied. She nodded and stayed silent. Until she asked me two more questions. "What's in the bag? And you always say you have to 'work'." She said using her finger quotations. "Can you just tell me what your actually doing?" I could hear annoyance is her voice. "Doesn't matter. C'mon. " I said walking into the bedroom. I heard a loud sigh from behind me and then she followed. I pulled my shirt over my head and threw it behind me. Ashleigh just watched me carefully in the doorway. Just watching me. I threw on sweats. I climbed into the cold bed. "Come here." I said softy. Her tiny frame walked over, across the dark room. The shadows of her perfect features rested onto her face. she climbed in and snuggled close. She stayed like that for a few minutes. just us. here quietly. She sat up, so I placed my head in her lap. "Do you trust me?" she asked nervous for an answer. Her tiny fingers wrapped around my curls. Moving her hands around. she stared down at my hair. studying the curls. "Of course." I said with my eyebrows furrowed. "why do you ask?" I questioned slowly. "Because you won't tell me about your work." she stated , still playing with my curls. "Ashleigh I...I just..we'll talk about it later." I stated. Now is not the time. She sighed. Knowing her she wouldn't go to sleep without an answer. "I just don't want it to ruin us.." I drifted off. my eyes closing. "I understand. But..will it hurt us..?" she asked. "I don't know." I said opening my eyes. I was shocked. Is she....crying? "Look at me." I commanded. She refused. I reached up and softly grabbed her face to focus her eyes on me. I looked at her like this for what seemed like hours. Her chocolate brown eyes staring down at me. Tearing. "Baby.." I say whispering. "I just don't want us to part....because of whatever it is your hiding from me. I'm scared of loosing you." she cried. Her cold bare bare hands moved up to my hand which was still placed on her face. She grabbed it and traced her small fingers in a spiral on my palm. Her pointer finger drew lines up and down each finger. Then finally lacing her fingers through mine. I just watched her. She's beautiful. The way she moves. The way she makes everything feel better in the moment you need it. "Nothing will tear us apart baby." I reassured her. She just nodded. I sat up and slid her down so our faces were even. She locked her legs in with mine. I pulled her front into my chest. I felt her outlining the tattoos on my front. Oh how I loved her. I started singing Truly Madly Deeply quietly into her fragile ears.
