We shopped at ikea for like 4 hours. We bought my mom a queen size frame with a mattress, new paintings, a little couch for one person, bed sheets, curtains, plates and more, basically whatever broke in the house that was important. We spent over $1000, which was half of my savings; Harry offered to pay which was a big no for me. Like how can I accept that? Where does his money even come from?

Right now we're chilling at Jack Astor's after our big shopping spree.  Mackie was eating some chicken and goat cheese sandwich, I was eating the smiling Buddha, and Harry was having some beer with his chicken wings. Harry and I sat beside each other in the booth, while Mackie was across from us on her phone.

"Harry, when we get home can we set my mom's bed so she can rest, we can do the other stuff tomorrow?" I ask while picking through my salad. I suddenly felt his hand on my thigh; I hope Mackie can't see this.

"Yeah, of course baby." He takes a swig out of his beer and continues to play with the hem of my shirt. "Are you okay though?" he asks sincerely. I don't know exactly what I feel. I'm happy that my dad is happy but it was so selfish of him to cheat on her. I need to talk to Regan or Marc. I look at Harry and meet his emerald eyes.

"I'm doing so." I sigh and smile a little at him while I continue to eat. I look at my sister and notice a cut under her bracelets. "Mackie, what happened there?"

She looks up from her phone then at her wrist. She covers it quickly and clears her throat. "Nothing, I just scratched myself while sleeping." She flashes a small smile then exits the booth. "I have to go to the washroom." As soon as she left, a couple minutes later I hear Harry's raspy voice.

"Lauren, she cuts herself." He blurted quietly with no shock evident in his voice. I turn my face and widened my eyes. He doesn't know my sister, he can't judge her.

"What?" I ask with shock and a bit of disgust. My sister isn't that stupid to do that after our past. "How would you know, have you seen her do it? Why didn't you tell me?" I back away from him completely and look around if I'm causing a scene. Good thing no one is looking.

"I haven't seen her do it but I used to do it." He grumbled looking away from me. How could he do that? I quickly grab both of his arms and see a little fainted scar on his left wrist. He's broken.

"Harry." I whispered. He has always been happy and cocky around me, I haven't notice at all.

"There was a bigger and more evident one before but I got plastic surgery for it. I can't forgive myself when I look at it." I lightly grab his chin to look at me and I kiss his scar.

"You are worth loving." He closes his eyes and suddenly pulls away. Now it's awkward, way to go Lauren.

"Your sister is coming back. We'll talk to her at home." He removes his curls from his face and continues to eat.

After another 20 minutes of silence we decided to leave. The ride was quiet and the 1975 was playing softly in the background. Mackie was blasting music with her earphones on to avoid any conversation. Everyone around me is hurt. We finally are home.

Mackie unlocked the door for Harry and I while we were carrying the frame. Mackie got all the paintings, plates, and other stuff. Harry and I got the couch and mattress.

Once everything was in the living room, all three of us collapsed on our sofas in the room.

"That was a work out." Mackie laughs. Now everything she does with a happy expression, I know it's fake.

Suddenly my mom walked down the stairs in her robe looking shocked. "Where did you guys go? What is this nonsense?" she spreads her arms pointing at the new furniture. She walks completely down and looks at the items one by one.
